How I Feel About 1.4

Looking with greedy eyes but not enough PXC's yet. 

At the moment though I'm running with duel AR's as I'm running with a sniper friend who gets miffed if I suppress everyone! lol! So swapped to my AlphaBridge 4pc currently. 

I'm experiencing some bugs now however, wonder if anyone else has had them?

1) Defib/Skills seemingly not activating at all during a phase in UG but talent being used up anyway and entering cooldown.

2) Leaving a group but still being in the other players map meaning I can't run S&D missions as this guy hasn't completed side missions!

3) Loss of ammunition when transitioning between BoO & HUB & UG .. .I'm having to revisit ammo cache when entering each area to regain several hundred rounds that I've lost somehow. Doesn't occur when in UG missions though only when moving between "bases". 

4) Recovery link automatically activating ... I get low on health and at least three times Recovery Link has activated on its own (not a miss key press as I have it bound to T which is waaaayyy out of the way). This isn't every time however. 

 
1) guess you're not talking bout mad skills. I have had first aid fire but not shown, or shown somewhere else where I wasn't aiming.  Plus some surfaces made of wooden boards allow you to target but it never shows (one spot in Hudson Refugee camp, in particular).

3) had this since patch 1.3. I don't  think it is a loss of ammo, just a bug in it showing too much.

EDIT: but I haven't seen it recently.

4) Just the last couple of days I've had this one. First I thought I had mash the key, though a few times I was definite my digits were innocent.

Mad Skills was activated as a Directive which made it worse. No, essentially I went to activate Defib, aimed but the area only showed for a brief millisecond, as it was so brief I didn't press to actually activate it BUT activation sound went off and my cooldown on both skills started.

Awww...so I don't really have 2,800 rounds? lol

actually is this right as it was letting me add more ammunition each time.
Yeah but was your ammo going up, or was it just showing as +thisandthat? I haven't see this issue for a while, so not sure now. I hadn't noticed any shortage or abundance.

Scenario was that I added some mods that changed my ammunition capacity at the time (Lone Star +48% capacity boost) meaning I had 2,874 rounds for my LMG. When I moved from BoO down to the HUB I found it was only 2,750 ... I restocked. 

Moved down to UG and it reverted back to 2,750 again... I restocked and started UG missions with full 2,874 rounds. 

Since dropped that LS in favour of AB so not sure if it was a bug. Currently rocking only 1,680 rounds. 

...more importantly I hope when I get home my Open World map is back and I'm not still stuck in someone elses. LOL!

It does that automatically in solo mode now. Happened to me a few times in underground and couldn't understand why at first. 

 
The update has been long coming and it is great but wow what happen  the first of this week.  Last week I was doing great now this week I am getting my clock cleaned.  Tried multiple times getting the supply drop but between the shotgunners and grenaders man,  they are strong and aggressive in tier 4.  My toughness is around 300k but still no match, so I'm switching to my shotgun and giving another run at it.  Still trying to get my firearms up.  Keep learning as I go. Definitely a lot better than 1.3.

Good to see the forums having a bit more activity  :91_thumbsup: .

For the issues you describe;

1. I suspect network messaging issues with the server you are connected to.  If you look at the team menu you can see your server connection status and can transition to a better one (of their choosing) if you wish.  

2. Yep this was very common.  When leaving the group you get the message to hold [TAB] in the bottom right of your screen to return to your own world.  This used to not activate most of the time for me in 1.3 but mostly works now.  I have a suspicion you may also be able to revert to your own world from the map (top left where the WT is) but would need to look to confirm.

3. Yep I get this too, usually a mags worth of ammo.  I suspect the transition takes account of your 'stored' ammo but not your loaded ammo.  I have not checked to see if the figures actually get changed on collecting ammo after the transition.

4. Recovery link auto-props if you are solo giving you another 'life'.  It should not auto-prop if you are in a team.  If you have mad skillz in the underground it will go to cooldown if any one of your group fires their sig skill though.

 
Well, not sure what happened but things seem to have got a lot harder in the Underground.  I also had a go on Falcon Lost Heroic and Clear Sky Heroic.  My view on those first.

Finding groups for incursions seems to be pretty difficult now, in my timezone at least.  I presume it is due to the reward no longer being significantly better than what you can get from multiple UG or mission runs but it being harder to complete.

Falcon Lost Heroic I played with a team of 3 others.  One on my friends list and two randoms.  We hunkered down by the generators to the right of the map and I gotta say, not a fan of that position.  Went down a few times.  Too easy for grenades and rockets to get you if you are not behind the generators.  No hiding from the drones.  We completed it but it was a fair bit of work.  Not as difficult as Heroic in 1.3 but a significantly more difficult experience than challenging was.  Sorta how it should be IMO.

Clear Sky was fairly ok for the first part.  I had expected it to be significantly more difficult but they were clearly just lulling us in to a false sense of security.  The second part we wiped out 3 times before completing it.  Keep moving was the key in the end and the health link sig skill was very useful.  Difficult but still fun.  A good challenge.

Two of our team left before we could try Dragons nest and we could not find anyone on matchmaking so had to leave that and decided to go down to the Underground.

Clearly the two of us have had our mics bugged as we were complaining that the only challenge at this level in the game for us was the Incursions but we couldn't get a team together.  The Division decided to teach us a lesson.

We went down to the underground and we got spanked... spanked hard :51_scream: .

I have been doing Challenging UG with randoms and running with a shotgun, up close and personal, for a bit more challenge as it really was feeling too easy.  This time I was proved very wrong.  We started a challenging 3 phase mission with just the two of us and for the first battle were in the narrow train track tunnel with little cover.  Just after starting the battle my partner went down.  Next thing I heard was "they're behind us" and saw a group of Cleaners had also spawned behind us.  Most the initial Ai are blazing dire from one direction and now with additional cleaners close from the other direction I went down and burned....

I think both of our thoughts after that were... err, ok.  We decided to try again.  We managed to get another person in the group with matchmaking and so started off.  All was ok until in Phase 1 we got to the boss fight.  It was in the area where there are two room s surrounded by a corridor that runs all the way around them.  Usually this is not a big issue but they were just coming from all sides so no cover could fully stop the bullets.  After the three sig skills got used up we all went down for the final time.  There were only around 4 AI left inc the boss.

One think I did realise was that none of us were running pulse so we were not sure which direction they were coming from.

The other potential reason was that I put Special Forces on and they were cleaners so if you get hit, you cannot do anything as you are set to burning state.  For other factions you just get a bit of a blurry screen and skills are knocked out.

So, bit more respect for UG now  :8_laughing: .

Ahh... I didn't spot this in the patch notes at all however. Did they forget to mention it?

Oh that one KILLS ME!! Even on hard for some multiphase missions I've been getting fed up being set on fire pretty much every time...that said you also need to remember that Aggro calculations are far more in line with other MMO games meaning you can effectively drag Aggro to you if you either try or aren't very good at monitoring your aggro. 

In the group I generally run as the healer/tank (Paladin-Tank) so try to draw aggro away from the more squishy sniper types and this was when it was annoying me as I drew aggro from two of the guys the game had defined as having special ammo... queue me being on fire for 80% of the encounter...lol!

I think the tactics I've used and learnt in earlier patches is really paying off in this patch. The enemies are far more aggressive but I've learnt to keep a good distance when solo, engaging from no closer than 50m with decent DPS AR, grenades this patch are a REALLY good buff for players and I toss them out as the enemy gets close and bunched... gas is best as it lets me pull back without coming under attack and stops shotgunners advancing. I tend to engage, take one maybe two out, toss a frag, then either gas or flash to cover me as I pull to another point of cover. Same as with 1.3 and the supply drops they for me were tough then but this patch and its changes to Aggro mean I've doing better as I can manipulate it better. 

*note to self: put up my current stats* - my Toughness is only about 204k, 107k electronics but I can't remember my DPS. Running in Tier 4 I'm loving it.

@quinch1199 I remember reading this in the patch notes, though didn't allude to any particular context. Guessing it doesn't mean UG Special Forces.

As for the Recovery Link, @Hazman looks right. I guess it triggers a bit early. For me, it kicks when my health is low and I hit first aid, Recovery Link kicks with it.

When playing solo, if the player is downed while his Station is active, he will be able to revive himself"

"Recovery Link now revives teammates from dead state and automatically revives the player when down, in solo play."

I need to try it from my side against Ai but my assumption at this point is that this ONLY APPLIES TO PVP and is an update intended to further balance the Dark Zone. If it also applies in PvE but with ONLY Ai enjoying such immunity then I'll be really pissed. 

 
oh yeah....spotted in a safe house... hint perhaps?

Also, I am still finding new stuff in this game. I found someone hiding in a ventilation duct!! Alive, just deep inside the duct, you could hear him talking...he thought I was his wife as I walked past and he was saying how he had the sniffles again.

So it seems there are still some bugs flying around.

I did a phase 1 challenging UG with some randoms and although the special forces had me on fire most of the time, we completed.

The lead then started a 2 phase.  We completed phase 1 but on phase 2 we entered a big underground 'train maintenance yard' with around 4-5 shield guys and the same number of medics plus other randoms (in waves) and so we split up to attack from multiple directions.  We were spending quite a bit of time having to take out the support stations and then trying to knock the medics down before another medic dropped another support station and were having a hard time of it when I noticed, two of the team members seemed to be missing.  Looking around there were no blue circles marking their position anywhere but they were still in our team and not dead.

Well, frustration, a shotgunner and a bad turn resulted in me dying along with the other player I could see and I then when to spectator view which took me to one of the other players before it flashed up 'Out of Bounds' and pushed me back to my dead agent.  I suspect they died and for some reason respawned in another instance but still in our team.  

An interesting bug to be sure.
