Hi guys

Feel free to use this thread to discuss and  add anything you know about the new update coming out on the 28th June (PC and XBOX). It would be really cool to collate what we all know into one thread.

Cheers

I thought the 28th was JUST for Xbox? I didn't think PC release was until the Playstation date in July.

PC and Xbox will get the update first. That's confirmed by the trailer and the staff at Ubisoft forums.

PS4 will get it on August 28. lol

I already bought into the Seasonpass when the game launches so i'm feeling compelled to play it, but from what i've seen it is really looking promosing.
I just hope there is enough to do to get the somewhat solo player started, getting gear to better equip himself so he can join groups to try and tackle group content.

I know a lot of people complained in Destiny that the DLC's would usually render the old gear obsolete, but i'm kind off hoping The Division will do this, so people like me who took a break because of all the glitches and cheating can come back and don't feel way far behind.

From the youtube videos I've seen I know there will be 3 (don't hold me to this!) new gear sets. The underground gamemode will progressively get harder as you play it with the idea that the deeper you go, the better the loot.

Oh and there will be a heroic mode for those who found challenging a piece of cake! (This will be free not just for Season Pass users).

The whole thing just looks like it will feel ... scary? (is that the right word?) ... such claustrophobic environments, having to check and double check every corner and corridor not only for Mobs but also randomly dropped booby traps! I'm hoping for example they stem the tide of players who just seem to rely on tanking damage as they dash ahead in an uncoordinated fashion. That's not how the game should be played to be honest, I want to get back to having to really think before each and every move from cover point to cover point, making sure I scan the walls, floors for traps, having to stack up on corners before moving on and even covering doorways before you clear an area.

*excited!*

I saw some game play clips. One showed an Underground gear vendor. Looked similar to the DZ vendors where you could by different items if you had a certain rank. This isn't the DZ, so are we going to have to grind all new ranks of some other kind now (Underground Rank)? The Underground, by my understanding is instanced for 1 to 4 man groups. I'm not looking forward to grinding a whole new level type to get to buy gear. Is it also going to have it's own currency? Can't we standardize this?

It is a good point, but I will not venture myself into that idea...it will make things harder of what it is right now. You know with all that farming and recalibration of the gear and the GS who gave me an headache all the time. Like I said in a previous post, They should only put HE gear and guns with power levels like the mods as it is now or (Before patch 1.1).  I mean what they did for the gameplay with game patches is awesome but the GS crap and gear set I am not a fan of this but got no choice to use it  if you want to be competitive. And some people doesn't look at you if you are GS 225 and below even if doesn't mean a lot. I am 228 but anyway it is not my point.

I don't think they will do this, but I still think that if we go only with HE with power levels, it will be easier in this big puzzle to maybe add extra cap level and currency instead.

With all that HE gear before the patches you could had great DPS stamina and electronic on every type of gear, now it is more specific to some types of gear so you are kind of limited on the idea of what to build.

If you look online for the guys How to build great gear for the type you want, most likely it is almost always the same combos of gear. It's easy in some sort for some people but for me and maybe others it is more complicated because it change your type of play. I mean you want dps, you go striker or sentry or with both you know. But If I want to use my savage gloves or other ones with HE gear I can but in the same time I can't because I'll be less competitive to others.

So for me I have the sentiment to be lead in one way instead of multiple choice. For some people I can be wrong but this is How I Feel I'll say, It doesn't stop me playing because I love this game and still upgrading my gear sets to be the most proficient possible for my type of play, but it is difficult.

I have no problem adding currency and other type level like DZ but please make our life a little easier hahahaha!

Vinny out!

It has that very dark feel that the first Gears of War game had on the Xbox. Tight, compact spaces followed by dark expanses. An absence of light. Stuff jumping out on you. The need to work together with your unit to stay alive.

I just got confirmation from Matt at the Massive Community Development team that Update 1.3's free content and the paid Underground DLC are technically two separate things.  So just for everyone that's on PS4 that's been complaining about getting left in the dust, this should help ease some of that discomfort.  I asked for clarification on what exactly is Free 1.3 Update and what is paid Underground DLC, but am still waiting on that actual distinction.  I feel like they'll probably explain for sure by tomorrow's State of the Game.

All that said, this basically means that more than likely it's just the Underground stuff that will be part of the paid Underground DLC, and that all of the weapon balancing, new Gear Sets, new weapons, new Challenge mode missions, Heroic mode additions, and possibly the new Incursion will all actually be part of the free 1.3 Update on June 28th that everyone gets.  That part's purely an assumption, but I think it's a pretty safe one.  The only thing I think that may be wrong about that statement would be the Incursion, as I could also see that being something they associate with the paid DLC possibly.  Either way.. I feel like this is very good news for the PS4 Community as I've read a lot of angry and confused comments from people thinking that they're literally not getting anything until August 2nd.
