Agent Cosplay/Airsoft loadout

I'm liking how well this loadout is coming together!
Thank you, apart from getting a mask with filters its a matter of getting the bits and bobs together. I'm still hunting for suitable objects to repurpose/craft into Skill based equipment (the main items hanging from the bag).

Due to money restrictions I'll have to hold back from getting the 3D printed SHD receiver (the one that it attached to the shoulder strap) so I'm going to concentrate this month on getting pouches, rope etc as "dress" items.

I'll be borrowing weapons when the time comes for photos as I don't currently own any, that won't be an issue with my Airsoft contacts though. I'm hoping to do some photo shoots at a couple of local Airsoft sites as I have a couple of urban ones quite near.

Nice to see another airsofter around doing this

I am slowly working on one myself I play around the south east at EAG Dorking, CQB blitz etc

If your around that way I'll keep an eye out

I'm Yorkshire based so mainly I visit the various Cerberus sites (me and those lads go waaaaayyyy back), I miss the Earth Centre still ... but they have a CQB site and the Quarry site (a working limestone quarry) which will be good settings.

I've been out of the game for a number of years but kept most of my gear, I just sold off my gats so I'm saving up for replacements of those as well at some point in the future.

Mask I'm planning on obtaining, my suppliers have two versions (varying levels of filters) but the cheapest one isn't in stock. That said I get a decent discount so might get the slightly more pricey one.

Plan is to split the filters open, strip the insides so they're hollow, drill holes or cut out a panel to the rear of the filters so I can actually breath ... then repaint to fit the in-game character versions.

Body Armour ... appears most aren't the regular vest style body armour (which I can easily buy) but a more body hugging composite ceramic armour plate type by the looks of it. This means I can't really buy something off the shelf BUT this is Cosplay and crafting is needed, thankfully this design of vest would lend well to me crafting a chest piece from scratch using high impact LD45 foam and webbing, to which I have full access to quite easily. All I have to add it a heat gun for the heat forming.

Plans a-foot! Watch this space.

Test to make body armour. My son heard what I wanted and immediately wanted some himself...first...which was ok as I could test the techniques needed and I've learnt a couple of helpful pointers from his pattern. He wanted a heavy armour similar to Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout so I used two sheets of 3/4" foam for his, my Agent version will be a single 3/4" sheet with 5mm sheets for detailing.

I'm hoping to achieve something similar to this for my own build ... I also have carbon fibre covering that I can use in the same way as this picture.

I think you got the look you were after. pretty impressive.
Thank you, I just took my time to draw up the pattern and used impact adhesive to apply the "detailing" foam sections. I'm consulting with friends in the 501st now (the International Stormtooper legion) about how to get the fit right and the straps connecting correctly. Currently having issues with bending it sufficiently to fit near the chest area and I'm sort of missing rear point attachments for the shoulder straps.

501st Legion is the best unit in the galaxy. And don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

Production stalled this weekend with Fathers Day but some feedback from 501st has indicated that I need to really put some form of backplate on, I'm thinking a harness mounting point only however at the lower back using elastic as well as the harness retaining straps over the shoulder. This may or may not mean I have to redo where the shoulder points attach to the chest piece but I'm going to work on it and see how it goes.

#UPDATE#

General production was on hold as I tried to work out harness placement (many evenings of sketching designs and throwing them in the bin), however, more recently I spotted a pretty vital flaw in the design for the vest I made.

Its too big! It goes down all the way to almost my belt level .... on closer inspection of the in-game vests they don't go anywhere near that far down. This may help to solve some of the general fitting issues I've had (I can get the foam to form around my chest ok but ... me being a fat bastard ... couldn't get it to wrap over the contour of my gut as well!).

This weekend might mean a complete rebuild of the vest.

Do you have the Division watch?

I want a replica of it, but a serious wristwatch, like in the game.

The official merchandise looks like a fake G-Shock and it's not even waterproof.

I have a MOTO360 with a Division watch face ... I need to post it here at some point.

I picked up one of these the other day and thought of you ?

I'm thinking of getting an embroidered version of the SHD patch I have as it appears the printed version is fading already ... haha! Go Rouge with a friend, you know it makes sense.

*UPDATE*

Minor progress only. I almost succumbed and almost bought an armoured vest that I could modify, I may still do this but I feel I need to just refine my home made one and it will be suitable for a photoshoot. The one I can purchase is a MOLLE version however but my "back up" plan is to buy it, remove the MOLLE webbing and place over my pattern for the raised hardshell carbon fibre cover.

(nuts!....still need to either find the carbon fibre I have somewhere or buy a new sheet, thanks for reminding me self)

I'm going to attempt this next week to get the filter mask again, I'm hoping my suppliers have it in stock now ... I'll let you all know.

So, time willing, I'm hoping to get started on designs and crafting of further backpack attachments - skill based ones - as I feel I can make solid progress towards that without holding the main build back.

My annual leave is coming up rapidly and during the first week in August I'll be away and not only offline but away from home (relaxing on a beach!) so I hope I can get some solid progress in the next couple of weekends to show everyone.
