Boo rope cutting!  Rope cutting is just another way to make it harder for solo players like me lol I'm dying to finally have a chance of gearing up past 181...sounds like I might actually have a chance now.
You'll have your chance. The same loot that's dropped in the DZ can be found in the PvE areas. If I'm correct, rope cutting is a DZ-only feature, as you can't go rogue in the PvE environment.

The addition of the HVT missions definitely provides a game to play if someone doesn't want to deal with the rope-cutting of the Dark Zone, and with just as good of rewards.  I will say, though; from looking at a lot of the streams, cutting that rope is definitely a difficult prospect!  It's far harder on the rope-cutter than the people defending their loot (at least from an outside perspective).  So I wouldn't let it scare you off just yet!

On that note, let's be real here. Who in their right mind would approach a group of players protecting their loot solo, in hopes of cutting the rope when they're all watching it? Nobody, unless they're a high level player deciding to be an ass. I'm fairly sure four well-equipped players can take down a GS240+ dummy.

I tried HVT and all I can say I like it a lot I got part of my fix so far today and a lot more to come :)
I've been forwarding these kinds of comments to Darcy, and I think she's actually excited.  ;)  This is good stuff to hear.  I've heard mostly a resounding "thumbs up" for the HVT stuff with the few exceptions of people talking about bugs, so that's definitely comforting.  :)

So far I found no bugs and people who kinda fear the DZ will find HVT there answer if they want a change I like the whole game personally maybe minus running a hard mission getting ql163 drops but so far I like the new content and I can not wait to try the new incursion with some buddies of mine

I believe 163 drops from hard mission bosses are as intended. I agree it would be nice to have a chance at higher quality items but now that there are HVTs to go kill and get better loot I don't see this as an issue.

Al right I finally tried a HVT Target out I wanted to build up my Intel Credits first before I take a run at it well I in my own opinion was very impressed it all went well rather interesting mission nothing seem over crazy I did the first one Starman was my target I think this will change a few players on the new DLC yes I did see the higher HVT mission require groups and my target drop a QL182 weapon so it get's from me a thumbs up but hey that's just me I am only one of many who play this rite

Even the weeklys can be soloed, as they don't have defined areas they need completed in. You can kite as long as you wish, or just go in guns blazing and destroy them all. Not saying it's a walk in the park, but it can be done (and I have).
That highest level weekly would be a pain to solo with those heavy cleaners, but I suppose it could be done. I got 3x 240 gear set pieces off it so it is definitely worth it.

The worst part of it is running out of ammo. The enemies drop a ton of it as you fight, but the way they push forward on you prevents you from collecting most of it.

What if shooting dogs turned you Rogue?!?!??  ;)
Well, in the name of absurdity, I go serious...  :13_upside_down:

First we need dogs introduced into the DZ. (They aint any, otherwise I'd .. umm shoot 'em, and confuse my squadies)

Secondly, we could have them fetching ammo, as suggested above.

So, you could then shoot someones dog, as it goes for an ammo run, which sends you rogue. That person of course would get a message "Oh.Daesu shot your dog". Maybe you'll have to go back to Boo to get a new one.
