@Xeromaus we're old...lets face it. Hell!! I remember games with 2D sprite graphics *old person muttering and grumbling*

Regardless of where you stand on these things its clear that there needs to be simply .... more to do ... the game suffers from being stuck schizophrenically between two genres perhaps (shooter vs. MMORPG) and at the moment we're all feeling that until the poor child of a game gets the right medication to sort itself out.  Currently there isn't enough core, increasing high end rewards to entertain the shooter fans and there's not enough side quests and other activities to keep us RPG fans completely happy.

I don't see these issue being resolved for a good while however as 1.2 will bring lots of fixes to, arguably, more serious bugs/exploits whilst nodding a little to give players something more to do at High End. The new DZ zone and Incursion won't solve the issues at all at the top end of gameplay but merely extend the deadline where a real solution must be found by some more months I feel.

Then perhaps the paid expansions may well throw some solutions in that we're not aware or an haven't thought of. I'd like to hope so, but for an RPG fan my hopes are pinned on those coming expansions rather than more recent updates coming.

I remember before i bought the game, that they *hinted* at expending it to other cities. Typically these games have new level content as a paided expansion. So, once they expand on lv 30, you'll certainly see it.

Someone, blaize?, suggested expanding the area for for central perk (pi'ed). Guessing if thats lv content, it'll be minor. Mostly end game.

Though, this was more of a shooter than RPG. So, hate to say it, but i don't think the game will measure well ever on that yard stick. It will always be lightweight in those terms. The game was a long term in the making, yet you can see how unpolished it is in rpg et. al  terms.  It's like they were aiming for a peculiar interest, love or hate it.

Ps. There reasson I'm responding, is that i was roaming to finish my wings, and noticed underground areas, and, think have i been there? And then think, do i get anything out of it... and carry-on.

Ps^2. You speak of 2d. I have fond memories of text based.

I remember when you couldn't order pizza over the internet.
I remember ZX81 and my ViC-20 ... Pepper Ridge Farm remembers too...

...as a wise Shogun commander once said... "I remember when we had 2D sprites instead of 3D graphics, we had to fight uphill, in the rain against charging cavalry with our shield wall...damn you all with yer fancy antianilising and larh-de-darh graphics cards" LOL

Shite, you win grandad. :)

(Geez, didn't know how far back Commodores went. 20 = 20k memory? Wow)
Well, I also had a Commodore C-16 (16KB RAM) as well....but that was a step up from the ViC-20 as it had 32KB ROM

haha! just looked it up... how does 176 x 184 resolution graphics grab ya!

You lucky guy.  I ended up with a Dragon 32 from well meaning parents who couldn't afford a BBC B and used savings from my paper round to get a Speccy 48k.  Grandparents got an Atari 2600 in their misguided enthusiasm.  Mind you, missile command on it was the only game I have managed to clock... ever.

@Xeromaus:  Not sure how you are meant to wear it but looks like it could chafe after some time  :10_wink: .

Hi, I'm Quinch and I'm able to derail a perfectly good thread in one sentence. ...

...sorry

In other news I am hopeless at PvP and keep getting jumped by Rogues (group of GS 218 last night) in DZ01/02 .... I really need to learn to keep a better eye open, or we need something for players to do other than just randomly go rogue and slum it in low levels. I know it was just for LOL's as I didn't have any DZ gear on me at all, most they can get is a tiny drop of DZ Credits.
