AG Valkyrie

Community Agent
After some thought, I felt that now would be a good time to finally give my introduction to the masses here, at The Division Forums.

First and foremost, I want to thank G1nt3r, the Forum Admin, for hiring me*. I was given the opportunity to work under him as a Community Writer, with the hopes that I could help bring in more support and attention to the Forum with my work. One thing that I personally feel is that we, as a team (yes, that includes you, the other members too) could achieve this together. I have faith in all of you, as our resident Admin claims to have faith in me. I certainly hope that I can step up to the mantle here, but with the feedback that I have gathered with my first article from those of you who chose to leave a comment, I feel very... Empowered? Driven? Sometimes, words cannot captivate the power of an emotion.

Thank-you, all of you, even if you've only read it and moved on. Every little bit helps. Moving swiftly on.

Who am I?

Well, let's leave a little bit of anonymity here. Most of you know will know me as 'AG Valkyrie,' but 'V' or just 'Valkyrie' will work just fine in most applications.

Why am I here, now?

Well, let's face the facts. I joined the forum and applied immediately to the notice that was left on the Site Index. I really didn't expect to be 'hired' as a writer, as I anticipated better competition for the job. Who knows, maybe someone else out there is more deserving of this job than I, but I will continue to say that. I hope it passes quickly, as I'm even starting to feel particularly stupid for thinking it.

Anyway, I really don't know what else to say about myself. I'm not really one to openly broadcast information without prompting. I'm sure the rest will work itself out as time goes by, but I do quite enjoy the image I can maintain here.

Thanks for reading this, and thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. I get the feeling I'll be here to stay for a while.

Valkyrie.

Welcome aboard man!

Love your work so far (though the sample size is obviously limited lol), and looking forward to reading more of it in the future.

I'm sure a lot of us thought about applying, but in the end it sounds like the right guy got the job. I definitely considered it, but I already have two full time jobs; my actual paying job, and posting here incessantly. The thought of taking on the responsibility to watch twitch broadcasts and read everything Ubi puts out about this game just seemed too much.

Best of luck moving forward!

Much appreciated, Xero.

Honestly, when it comes down to my workflow, I generally spend about twenty minutes setting up, then I start reading through Ubisoft's statements while listening to the twitch broadcasts and just taking notes with pen and paper. However, I will maintain that there are some parts of my workflow that will stay a trade secret, as I had a conversation with G1nt3r about that today.

I certainly hope that you, and the rest of the community, will enjoy the work that I produce henceforth.

Hey V,

It's awesome having you on the team bud. G usually is pretty good at picking his staff members. Would love to play with you, but it just so happens your a console peasant! lmao.

Looking forward to more articles, and working with you in the future,

~HawKShoT
