The reason I couldn't find it was due to being level 28, lol. I am 30 now and found it.

High dps is fine, but if thats all you worry about, you'll end up running nothing but the 4 challenge mode PvE runs. DZ or incursion, solid dps dies, fast and often. Need to flesh out the rest of your stats as well to stay competitive, and understand that the actual dps score shown is not by any means an effective way to judge your build. There's a lot of stats and boosts that that score doesn't take into account, and a few things it does use to determine the score that mean absolutely nothing.158 GS... I find I am wanting to use lower gs items at points to not lower my dps.. not sure if that is smart but I cannot help it. I still have the mindset that high dps is the way, however staying alive equals sustained dps.....
You need to look at gear pieces as standalone things, not whether they fit/boost your build or not. If they give you a boost in every way except the one you currently build for, odds are you'll be stronger wearing/using them than not, especially as a new 30. I can't think of any lvl 68ish pieces that are better than HE pieces. In fact, they were designed to not be stronger. It may be time to crunch some numbers and look up the math players have already done build wise, on this board and others, to re-evaluate how you move forward.Current details.
I have only just started equipping the very few gold items I have found that are any better than the blue and purple I already had. Only hit lvl 30 after the patch.
- GL: 068.
- Lvls: 30/29
- Stats: 79k / 55k / 18k
AI challenge at level
- Lvl 30: Ok - No big issue.
- Lvl 31: Reasonable challenge.
- Lvl 32: Possible but will lots of hits to down one AI. Rushers are currently too tough - cannot kill them before they get in range.
I appreciate the advice. I really am considering rolling a healer spec/team helper.... I guess this game is still too new to really see where end game is going just yet. But I am studying a lot about that role and what I should stack, skills to use, etc.High dps is fine, but if thats all you worry about, you'll end up running nothing but the 4 challenge mode PvE runs. While staying alive does sometimes mean killing whats in front of you, there is no player at all that can kill everything that comes at once now. Surviving now means being solid all over, and I'm telling you this as a former pure damage player (260k effective DPS at peak). It's fine for the old PvE, but no where else.
I am now working to try and keep my GS under 160. It is a bit irritating that with a GS of 158 I am getting put in to the 161+ DZ bracket. You need to look at gear pieces as standalone things, not whether they fit/boost your build or not. Those are hackers. Everything above lvl 30 was converted to gear score, and everything that wasn't above 30 is VASTLY inferior.I have seen some lvl 30 players (i.e. no gear score) mowing down AI and players in the 160 GS area. I guess they got maxed before the GS came in and as the equipment they already has does not get converted to a GS, they are over powered for the DZ category they are in.
When I hit level 30 my stuff was not converted to GS. Only new items I got from there onwards. I hit level 30 after the GS patch (1.1).Those are hackers. Everything above lvl 30 was converted to gear score, and everything that wasn't above 30 is VASTLY inferior.
....and this is why I play on console lol
your items were 30 or below then, and the old system is still in place for those. DZ items classified as higher than 30 now required lvl 30 to attain then. There was zero gear for any DZ lvl over 50 pre patch, and what there was at dz50 was converted to 163 or 182.When I hit level 30 my stuff was not converted to GS. If they had hit lvl 30/70 or something and got DZ lvl 70 type items before the 1.1 patch then those items could be a lot better than GS items in the 160 GS category and if they never changed them then they would stay in the lower category.
I would imaging equipment being found if someone was DZ lvl 70 before patch 1.1 would have potentially been better than GS160 level equipment now ?.
On the other hand, they could have been hackers as well.
I see, good to know. Thanksyour items were 30 or below then, and the old system is still in place for those. DZ items classified as higher than 30 now required lvl 30 to attain then. There was zero gear for any DZ lvl over 50 pre patch, and what there was was converted to 163 or 182.
