So I hit the 200 gear score and I get locked out from the DZ 160+ bracket instead I been forced to go into the 201+ bracket zone! I can't do shit there with my 130 000 dps and 180 000 toughness. Why is the DZ rank for? I'm 53 but I can't kill a fucking 32 roque agent with a shotgun ?? This is hard to explain and I don't think he had the Tank build gear. So what gear score and dps/toughness is recommended for this new DZ

You might be lacking in skills / weapon talents (weapon talents make a MASSIVE difference) as weapon talents in particular add hidden damage buffs BUT the match maker is formally broken at the moment unfortunately as Gear Score in itself means so little. Its easy to have 182GS equipment and outplay/outshoot/outdamage/outsoak a GS201 for example. Especially if the 201 build isn't optimised well. 

Unfortunately the match maker and zone allocation is based only on GS (as far as we know) and because of that essentially broken. 

Tread carefully in the DZ until you get more drops or rejig things or make sure you have some buddies with you.

 
You're not necessarily locked out of the DZ 161 bracket, you just have to deconstruct or sell any of your items in your STASH or INVENTORY that are 204 or higher. That is how the game determines what bracket you play in. It isn't the gear score next to your name. 

With that said just do some HVT's or get a solid group and run the DZ and you should have enough drops to make your Agent strong enough to at least contend with other agents or NPCs in the DZ.

I'm guessing you use a 204 gun of some type. For the 201+ bracket if youre going dps id recommend atleast 240-250k dps with 300-350k toughness plus 75% mitigation. Hybrid build id say 210k dps with 400-450k toughness.

Depends how you play and which group your at....I run  2 final measures, 2 tac, 2 sentry and GS 225 and I have roughly 310K toughness, 180K DPS, 27K Skill and I still run around DZ5 DZ6 easily with my friends and something with matchmaking if you find good guys who communicate. For rogues, of course I'll get kill some time to time and I kill too so I will say depends how you play and how is your tactics with a team. But I always build my gear in function of my favourites weapons that I use. I have 75% mitigation of course and 80K health roughly....I need better blueprint gear mods and weapons mod too and getting better 240 but for now I am happy of what I got!

 
When I solo 201+ I run one of two builds. one has 215k dps and 406k toughness or 200k dps and 450k toughness.  When I group up, I might switch to my 250k dps and 360k toughness build.  All my builds are 3 piece striker/sentry. I only switch to final measure when I run into a lot of sticky bomb builds. Also, all of my builds have 75% mitigation.

Thanks! Where do I get 240 score weapon or gear?

 
Guaranteed 240 gear and 204 weapons are from challenge mode incursions and also in Dark Zone 5 & 6 (bosses, caches, and supply drops). The highest High Value Targets weeklies can also drop them.

There is only 240 Gear set, Weapons are max at 204, and yess DZ 5,6 are the easiest way to build up fast with a group, HVT weekly will give 240 lone star gear most of the time.

While this might be the easiest way to lower your score, if you don't want to sell or break down these items, you can create an alt character and put the items in their inventory and they won't count against your main chwrwcter's gear score.  The items just have to be out of your stash and inventory.

Can you move gear etc to non-level 30 characters, for example if you have a level 15 Alt, can you use them as a mule for this purpose?

@ESGN beat me to the punch.  If you really need the help, you can make 1-2 mules if you don't have a 3rd or 4th character and once they have the BoO open, they can hit the stash for you.  I can't remember if the safe house in Brooklyn has a stash, if it does you would just have to start the characters and get there to start being a mule.

DZ Rank only serve as sub-requirement to buy DZ items.

DZ Rank also can mean two things:

- If it's high, it's either you never get killed and/or you're active in DZ

- If it's low, it's either you always get killed or you never been to DZ

Either way, DZ Rank does nothing good other than adding extra complication.
