Tonight I played solo, since my friends aren't playing right now. I had fun doing PVP in Destiny and I looked forward to what the Dark Zone could be. However, being solo, there's nor reason to jump into any kind of pvp, being that you will be run over.

Any thoughts on this? Or how could Ubisoft change things to make it more accessible for solo players?

Maybe they'll add an option to enter an offline DZ that's only populated with AI to your level.
Not a bad idea, they should do something for the people who wanna do solo DZ. Theyre definitely likely victims of group rogue attacks

As a solo player I agreed, I'll only play the DZ with a group from here since I don't game with many friends now days.

Yeah, because if your never successful as a solo player in the DZ, then you'll never find the best loot cause that's the only place it's at. They said you could play the entire game solo if you want but I guess that means you'll be playing it with low grade loot the entire time.

Then again once the full game releases there will probably be a lot of people playing the role of protector in the DZ, as was mentioned on here. That should at least give solo players a fighting chance at getting some good stuff.

Well, you can craft higher level loot yourself, you just need blueprint and parts.  Obviously things could change after teh beta, but I seem to have gotten quite  a few sets of blueprints from sidequests

Oh that's right, and you could get the parts you need for the higher end loot by dismantling your lower grade gear.

I mean in real life you wouldnt stand a chance against a group of people usually. Would be OP if they gave single players a damage bonus or something.

i could be wrong but i thought they said you can finish the entire story solo. meaning everything in PvE. i didnt get the impression they meant the dark zone solo..but like i said, i could be wrong. Just by watching some streams, i dont think you want to even try it solo, from tougher AI to people just looking for a numbers advantage over other players, but i do think it could be done if you are a ninja and staying away from other players. I usually like playing Solo, but It does look like fun playing the Dark zone with friends. and i do like the concept of this PvP vs the arena type of PvP like you see in games like destiny

You can always run into safe houses and start talking to some people there to form a group for the DZ. Or start making groups in here :-)

I know this might not be a popular opinion but why does a new video game always have to cater to everyone? If you couldn't find a group to do dungeons with back in the early World of Warcraft days you wouldn't be able to get any good loot either. They implemented 'dungeon finder', maybe the same could be done for the DZ. A 'DZ group finder' or something similar.

Avoiding other players in the DZ could actually be pretty fun by itself and not to hard of a task. The hard part comes when you call for an extraction drawing all sorts of attention, thus becoming a sitting duck at the mercy of the timer.

yes you are right, it would be fun, ill most likely try it. and once you hit that flare for extraction it will be very intense lol head on a swivel

It's kinda feasible in my squirrel brain.  Being by yourself, you put other teams at ease and could be seen as less of a threat, as opposed to a four-man death squad.

The real question... is are you and your friend able to out-fight me and my shotgun?

:D

I figured out to stay close to my group. Those that dont attack and once you are spred out they bash the crap outta you and take your loot and run. Maybe fun doing it but recieving it sucks lol.
Yeah I've been mobbin around by myself and it had not been fruitful.

had one group of 4 camping one of the entrances to the dark zone and taking out anyone who came into the zone....that needs to be addressed. not fun at all lol
