Point blank :: If you are a casual gamer (10 or so hours a week, full time job and a social life outside of that) - you won't be able to run against the powerful gamers in the DZ that sink hundreds of hours into the game. This is the sad truth.
I face the same myself. The small time I do play, I find nothing worthwhile and burn a lot of time trying to better my gear. For example, the hour it takes to farm mats to try crafting better gear mods but endlessly getting trolled by RNG. So you end up not any better than you started, one or two hours later.
This is a complete turnoff of the game, IMO. I can't sink dozens of hours into this game per week, so I guess it just isn't for me!
