I could be wrong but found a bit of info claiming that the bleed effect from the predator talent is an average of the 10 bullets you hit the target with. Think I will be looking at another set now if that is the case...

Forget what I said. Just tried solo run to test it. Take a look at the bleed damage. Jump to 0:57 for more focused 1vs1 battle with Fatty Ryker.I think my best bet is to try it out for myself and see how it feels, I am more tanky than I am a dps anyway so it may not be worth it. This game massively comes down to personal preference
Thanks for posting that mate! It appears that the bleed effect is an average of the 10 bullets you deal damage with as it shows the bleed damage to hit at around 20k. Obviously with a stronger weapon and players with a higher DPS the bleed will be better. Will still have to give this a try and see how it works. It is virtually no use for PVP however as Armor can have bleed resistance and the 2 piece final measure +50% exotic damage resilience will cover bleed too. Also seen that using survivor link would negate the bleed as well.18 minutes ago, supercat said:

I would turn Rogue for that. Lol.I did find a 204 LVOA-C last night in DZ05 with brutal/deadly/fierce that I promptly extracted.
We had just extracted, but I wasn't going to wait for it to get stolen. I had it up to almost 300k dmg last night with a RoF mag and 3 striker/2sentry and it was awesome. It honestly feels better than my MP5 the has the same talents for up in DZ05-06 because I can use it at longer range.I would turn Rogue for that. Lol.

I believe they said that Lone Star is mainly just the "guaranteed" Gear Set type to drop in the HVT stuff. There's a chance for all of the other Gear Sets, but that's the "guaranteed". Each area of the game has a "guaranteed" Gear Set, but with a chance of the others. For instance, I've gotten a lot of Lone Stars from HVT, but I also have gotten Final Measure, Hunter's Faith, Predator's Mark, and Nomad. I don't know which area has what as far as guaranteed, but I know Hamish said on Twitter that Lone Star was the guaranteed one for HVT stuff.Lone Star been dropping all over HVT. I say if you haven't tried it, try to keep at least 4 pieces.
I never realized the no-reload feature can be really helpful, although it might spoil you in the future.
We will be having 5-hour maintenance. Who knows if they finally sort this Lone Star drop rate.
You my friend, have found the motherfu**ing holy grail! Been looking for a 204 LVOA-C and wasn't sure they actually existed! The dz grind will be getting turned up now!I did find a 204 LVOA-C last night in DZ05 with brutal/deadly/fierce that I promptly extracted.
It was so cool to have a god roll weapon drop rather than have to be crafted. You my friend, have found the motherfu**ing holy grail! Been looking for a 204 LVOA-C and wasn't sure they actually existed! The dz grind will be getting turned up now!
I finally got my 4 piece Pred today and tried it out. Honestly it's not for me. The bleed effect doesn't seem to last for very long. Most level 32 elite or superior grunts die before I can get 10 bullets on them with my Aug. My personal preference is to have 2 sentry, 2stiker and 2 final measure at the moment. Waiting on a striker backpack then I'll try that out.It was so cool to have a god roll weapon drop rather than have to be crafted.
Now that I have it I am really looking into the Predators Mark gear set. I found some really awesome 240 gloves with assault rifle dmg that make it a monster!
Hope the blueprint shows up for you guys this week.
Wouldn't waste 2 slots using Lone star. If you keep the 2 pieces of lone star in your inventory at all times, just equip them both when you restock for the extra ammo gains. Then swap them out for other gear and you keep the ammo reserves. Leaves you free to pick up another 2 piece gear set bonusI'm generally interested in DPS, but I'm not great at landing head shots. My current thought is to run 4 Strikers for the general damage boosts, and 2 Lone Star for more ammo; however, I'm not sure if something else would be better. If it makes any difference, my standard load out is an SMG and a Marksman Rifle.
Also, I feel it's worth noting: by using only Gear Set pieces, you're giving up the baked-in talents of High End armor pieces. I've heard that the one that provides increased damage against targets out of cover is good, but beyond that, I don't know if any High End talents are good enough to give up a possible Gear Set slot. I think it's something to at least think about, at least.
I am aware of this (though I do appreciate you making sure), but past experience shows that I will never remember to actually switch my gear around. However, I'm not married to anything mentioned in my previous post. The Striker set seems like the obvious choice to increase my SMG DPS, so I plan on using the full 4 piece bonus. For the last 2 slots, I don't know if I should stick with the Lone Star (since the game won't give me anything else; I only have 2 pieces of the Striker set, and I had to craft both), go with another 2 piece set bonus, or pick up a couple of High End gear items with good Gear Talents. If I do go with High End items, the only one I know is any good is the one that increases damage by 13% against targets out of cover, so I don't know if there's another one that would make the loss of a 2 piece set bonus worth it. And I'm assuming that the Striker set is worth the full 4 piece set bonus; while I'm sure it is, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if I were wrong.Wouldn't waste 2 slots using Lone star. Would recommend if you want extra survivability to take the 2 piece set bonus of final measure for the exotic damage resilience. If you are happy with survivability then I would suggest sentry for the +30% headshot damage.I am aware of this (though I do appreciate you making sure), but past experience shows that I will never remember to actually switch my gear around.
