Well, looks like Massive has did it once more to us...... I know,I know. Some will just reply and say quit crying and you go get the gear set. "WHATEVER"! Massive has ruined this game with every update!!! Now you can't run the Striker/Sentry unless you run 5 piece, but what good does it do when almost all the teams are running Reclaimer Set????? It's totally broken and any other team is at the disadvantage. I really like the game, but please Massive.......before you do anything else FIX YOUR GAME!!

Apart from being in the wrong forum (Massive still won't give a damn even if you write this in official forums),

that is exactly what Massive have no clue about. At the end of the day, when it's popular, they'll nerf it.

They are like bunch of people who come up with a good idea and then make alternatives of it which in no way the alternatives can be equally as good as the first one(s).

Massive have ZERO experience with an MMO and don't appear to have either looked into other examples in depth or hired employees with MMO development experience. They, simply put, have no apparent idea how to "balance" within an MMO, especially one split between PvE and PvP.

How they introduce new items, rebalance old ones or often are forced to completely withhold items from planned DLC's just screams to me that they've got no real idea or experience in this genre.

Only way they can sort this is getting a team in who know MMO's with PvP & PvE elements...and I don't mean one head guy, I mean a full team.

Well... In Ubisoft's The Crew, when you do a mission/challenge, you will receive a medal (Bronze, Silver, Gold) based on your performance, this medal will give you a car upgrade and the quality will be based on the medal grade.

And for some reason, the dev thought it's a brilliant idea to introduce you Platinum medal after you reached max level which instead of giving you the top-of-the-line car upgrades for breaking your own limit, it gives you random items, such as random level upgrades, paint job, and decal. How could they even think that "jackpot machine" is a better reward than actual car upgrades which is what we all need and looking for when doing said missions? LOL...

Different developers, same Ubisoft, same non-sense..

Please refrain from posting rational and/or logical arguments.  This is the internet.
Oh hell..sorry... I mean..

Goddarn it Massive, you so noobie, why you not fix game and make perfect in the 10 weeks since launch. How hard is it to make something perfect first time!?!

.... erm... was that better? Was that "street" enough for you kids?

In reference to your, "when it's popular, they'll nerf it" comment:  this isn't like Game of Thrones.  They're not nerfing because it's popular.. they're nerfing because it's more powerful than all the other ones like it.  Nothing in the game is meant to be by and far more powerful than the other things like it.  As in.. one Assault Rifle is not supposed to be far more powerful than all of the other Assault Rifles.  They're supposed to be comparable.

Is something that's far more powerful going to also be popular?  Yes.  But just because they nerf that thing doesn't mean that it's because it's popular... it's because it's over-powered.  The popular part is more our fault for getting attached (especially when even before the actual update came out they were saying, "We're releasing the G36 with this update, but it is super over-powered and we will be nerfing it.")

I would agree with the G36 that there is no cause for anyone to complain about it getting nerf'd as it was made very clear by the dev team that it was a mistake and would be downgraded.

Sentry and Striker are really another matter, especially with no comment from the devs that Sentries was not working as expected only just before nerfing it so it would not work with auto weapons.  I believe the nerf was the right thing to do in that case but lack of communication essentially destroyed a lot of builds people has put a large amount of hours fine tuning.

The second Sentries and the first Striker nerf with 1.3 was because they were too popular due to their power and the devs wanted to make other gear sets relevant (to paraphrase from one of the SOTG broadcasts).
