And go!

I have the Midas and don't know if I should spend my phoenix credits on blueprints for the high end vector or the higher capacity mags blueprint. Anyone have experience with both weapons? Don't want to drop phoenix creds on the Vector if my Midas is a better gun that can be improved upon with a higher capacity mag. Let me know friends!

MIDAS!!!!! Hands down for me. With the new patch tonight, it will now increase damage the closer you get to a target, meaning when you do challenge mode...the rushers die faster the closer they get to you. You can single handedly take out the risers while your teammates focus on the further targets.

It's not as good as the trained talent, but it does serve a good purpose.

Careful with the clips. They only game me an additional 6 rounds, and I lost rate of fire for critical damage...which isn't a good trade off at all.

For me it is the Vector hands down.

With the Vector blueprint, you can roll one that has a +25% critical hit chance. One of the talents you can potentially get has +25% critical hit damage. There is also a talent that does +18% to enemy armor. There is another talent you can get (I think it is called Self-Preserved) where a % of your critical hit damage goes to restoring your health.

The DMG on mine is about 10K. WIth some mods and gear bonuses, my critical hit chance is up to 49%. My critical hit damage is +120%. Basically, every other bullet is a critical hit doing 22K in damage. If I get headshots, add in another +75% damage. If I am hitting armor, it's another 18%.

I have an extended mag to take it from 20 rounds to 39 rounds.

You might have to craft a few to get the one you want, but I'll take it over the Midas right now. There are just too many good talents with it and more DMG.

Unless I am missing something about the Midas.

Just to add in, before they nerfed the Midas talent that let your recharge your Ultimate ability lightning fast, my opinion was different on this. Since then though, Vector FTW.

I have to go with the vector on this one. I'm still trying to get that perfect roll but where k have it now I'm at well over 120k+ DPS, with 13% more damage against elites and named. As well as a 25% critical chance.

I'm not that big on DPS. I like to have a solid number, but I tend to outlast enemies and rogues due to high health. I focus more on headshots to make up what I lack in DPS. At the end of the day, we're talking the difference between maybe 5-7 rounds or 2-3 seconds for the kill.

OK!!! I will 1V1 ALL OF YOU VECTOR LOVERS!! lol That will settle this debate once and for all! lol

One of its perks got nerfed. It is still a strong weapon without it. I'm excited to see what the updated perk will accomplish.

The thing about the Midas is its fast and extremely stable. I can put a lot of rounds in someone's face in a short amount of time. Add critical damage to that, and you can throw dps out the window.

The new perk on the Midas is also pretty sweet(increased damage when within 10 meters) should be a little easier to hold off the rushers

Yeah I noticed that too. Looks pretty sweet. I prefer the vector because j have a chance to roll every perk that Midas has..and it's more badass looking..honestly lol

You guys and this DPS thing kills me. Lol yes...dps is nice if every single bullet hits the target. But c'mon...we ALL know that doesn't happen. And it not even close. So while you may have a dps of 120k, your hits are actually around 70k per second....if you're shooting at 1 target.

Damage per round is the number I prefer to bump. My Midas hits at 10.8k per round. My vector hits at 9.7k per round. Faster fire rate, less recoil, my hits @10.8k does more consistent damage. I have the vector, but the damage/recoil is not worth it imo.

At this point I only look at DPS on my smgs because i generally use those upclose since I'm not much of a shotgun guy. My Midas barely moves so I feel like the DPS number is actually accurate with that gun. However with marksmen rifles I just look at damage and rpm.

I personally use the Midas. I crafted a gold mag that has 99% capacity  and 7% crit which causes me to have a 61 round magazine and with all my other gear stats and gun mods 61% crit chance.  My crits heal for a percent of my damage the closer i get the more damage i do. I just dont see the vector  being able to keep up with this powerhouse weapon.

FINALLY!! Another Midas homer!! I also have the modded extended clip with 104% capacity and +23.5% fire rate. It literally shreds rushers in no time flat.
