Hello Ghosts,

Now what is a Tier 1 mode?
Geez, they are so quiet about something like this.

  • no pvp component
  • increase level cap
  • increased difficulty and rewards
  • also changes and fixes for Fallen Ghosts
Anyway, the gos actually comes from a pvp site which writes from the disappointment that it isn't a pvp expansion. Kind of ironic that they're the ones with the gos.

Q&A Session

https://pvplive.net/c/ghost-recon-wildlands-wont-add-new-weapons-or-season-pass-content

"A new mode is coming into Ghost Recon Wildlands tomorrow, June 28, but sadly, it's not PVP.

After tomorrow's Title Update 5, you'll be able to access the Tier 1 mode in Wildlands, alongside a number of balance updates and bug fixes. Aside from the Tier 1 game mode, you can expect most of the changes to be centered around the Fallen Ghosts expansion.

According to an earlier Q&A session with the Wildlands developers and executives, the Tier 1 mode will allow you to surpass the maximum level cap of 30 and "enjoy the game with an increased difficulty and new rewards." They've yet to completely detail the new mode, so it could reset your story progression and place you in a higher difficulty, or it could simply ramp up the enemy AI's damage, health, and tactics, but keep your progression for free play."

Errrrr...... I hope it doesn't make the enemy into Division-y bullet sponge. Anyway, looking forward to Fallen Ghosts changes and Story Mode new reward.

I have one problem in Fallen Ghosts. It's that enemy would pop-up in massive amount to give instant, cheap pressure on you. Sometimes it will get out of hand that after I've done and survived the task (for example, radio tower defend), the only way to get out of there is to die, because well, they're swarming the place and there's no way for you to be Frederick Zoller on those Unidads.

Anyway, I damn bet at least half of PvP player will be complaining about why can't they screw other players in the back while they're doing their own thing. Tbh, I've played different games outside shooter that includes PvP (the kind that allows you to be a prick to other people's business) and have seen pretty much different people with same mindset everywhere: They don't want to have a proper match; they just wanna screw others while giving the same textbook excuse why they do it and tell others that they should be happy 'they' are here or gtfo.

Thank Ubi they are fugging going to put a proper arena here. Now I hope they can also figure out how to shave the peashooters out and eventually make the PvP, you know, an actual tactical match.

Damn, I had high hopes when I heard of 'Tier 1'. Since I assumed it meant best of the best, which could translate to becoming the best in a PvP environment.

I tried to research about it, apparently the same term of 'Tier One' was used in Medal of Honor game.

In there 'Tier One' is a whole new difficulty to the level where there's no checkpoint saves and whatnot.

I just directly translated Tier 1 as top tier, which means to be the best in what you do. I like the Tier 1 mode though, I really do lol. Even though it's PvE. Adds more of a challenge to the game and you get upgrades as you go along, you can make your weapons do more damage - and the bonuses are neat too. Prolongs the end game. Tier 47 right now, haven't played too much but I wanna try climb to Tier 1. So far for me, I've gotten the Jaws face bandana for Tier 49, then 1000 for each resource from 48 and 47. I imagine the rewards get better.

Tier 45 currently, just unlocked a helmet called 'Wingnut', it's basically the ballistic helmet with protective glasses on the top, looks kinda smart. Next unlock is 1250 resources for all resources.

EDIT: I should note, it forces difficulty levels on you to proceed to next tiers. For instance, it said Arcade was no longer available and Regular or above must be used. I'm currently using Advanced anyway, so that makes no difference to me. One thing I have noticed is your AI buddies give off visual detection, but they progress with you, they seem to be smarter with their positioning (only slightly) which is a god send.

New items sound sweet. Especially after all of this overpriced-store-item fiasco.

Tier 43. Enemies are pretty lethal with their shots now, their accuracy is more on target and reinforcements are like x2.

That's really interesting. So they works as a modifier on top of the existing Difficulty.

What happens after Tier 1 though? lol

I imagine nothing happens after Tier 1, but judging how things are progressing - I can imagine Tier 1 being hectic as fuck. There is probably a reason they have an option for you to disable tier mode.

Is it true that enemies become bullet sponge in higher Tier?

Like so bullet sponge it takes half mag to kill one regular guy.

Nah it ain't like higher tier Division PvE. Not from what I've seen so far anyway, hard to tell right now. Will keep y'all updated as I climb the tiers, though.

I see. That is a relief! Glad to know that was just another exaggerated BS from ubi forums. Lmao.

I'm on Tier 42 with Regular and it's freaking insane.

Vehicle health jumped. Enemies hit like a truck. Accuracy is getting insane. Wtf..

Tier 38. Forced to go Advanced.

Enemies hit pretty much like default Extreme already. Lmao.

Also, I Just realised that you cannot exactly grind by keep replaying same mission because the Tier Points will be decreased. The Tier Point reward in Mission Replay will be reset once you increase your Tier.

Once you dip under 20 it becomes retardedly hard lmao. Each tier down from 30 is progressively harder. I like the challenge, but it really does test you.

Level 18 and appreciating the tier boost from the season challenges. Im. not noticing the enemies getting harder since hitting extreme difficulty. Just have to be cautious but when you do get spooked you have very little reaction time if none.
