Upcoming Weapon Rebalance

Vector and AUG damage will be cut by 10%. lol

'All will be buffed' they said. 'No nerf' they said.
I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing. They are trying to make agents load outs more varied. Everyone currently runs an SMG (either AUG or Vector) with the upcoming boosts to the other weapons should make the dz more diverse. Personally think that assault rifles will get a lot more love for PVE now.

I have wished this would happen since I unlocked the re-calibration station. This will help agents create God roll weapons! RNGeesus will be unpleased. You still need a drop with 2/3 good talents though as it will work the same as gear pick one talent and then the option of 4 to replace it

Most use an Aug or a Vector but maybe in most cases it's because they can only get an Aug or Vector blueprint or find an Aug or Vector at the BOO vendor. If I could have got a MP7 blueprint I probably would be using that.

A crafted weapon from a blue print should always be able to be bettered by a random drop. That is the mantra of Ubi and massive. They nerfed crafting massively to put the emphasis on the grind for good loot drops.

Maybe so, but i've found way more augs and vectors than mp7's and mp5's (not counting burst fire :/).

And I've yet to find myself a better smg than the BOO one I bought over a month ago.

Relentlessly running dz05-06 and incursions for 204 weapon drops is all I have been doing, yet to hit a god roll weapon, I do tend to drop vectors and AUGs more than any other SMG to be honest. LMGs, pistols and Shotguns are certainly my most common weapon drops. Which sucks ?

Nerfing Vector and AUG won't do a thing IMO. There will be another most effective weapon people will be sticking with, which later on will get the same treatment as AUG and Vector.

AUG indeed had the best damage for the fire rate given, with Vector as the second. The weakness of Vector is the short magazine, while (if I'm not wrong) range is AUG's weakness.

Now the problem is, enemies are bullet sponge and the way they behave is to walk towards us. Of course our common sense to negate this is to kill them as fast as possible and that's why people use the fastest and the strongest gun available and stick with it.

IMO if they don't tweak the way the AI behaves, nerfing guns until every stats flattened to earth still won't fix the problem.

I heard after "heroic" mode will come "epic" mode followed by "l33t."  At that point we'll have 357 waves of 100+ shotgunners per incursion.

EDIT: And STILL a great single player experience!

it was a little ridiculous that 2 SMGs ruled over every other weapon in the game in terms of base dmg except Marksman Rifles and maybe burst fire ARs. I am so glad I have godly MP5s that will now be da best.

I found a 204 MP5 with self preserved/unforgiving/deadly that is really been growing on me. I have it up to 49% CHC before pulse so it actually frees me up to use a different skill and I can always use the precision talent to get the rest of the CHC.

Yep. Not sure if the damage cut going to affect every AUG and Vector including those we own, but nevertheless I got a 204 MP5 ST in hand.

That thing's so smooth like fudge.

Just curious, why would the mp5 now be the best for you? whats its base dmg and talents? My aug has a base of 11k, so with the 10% reduction it will still be higher then any mp5 ive crafted or picked up. I will still run my aug most of the time. it dropped with brutal, deadly and adept. If rolls apply to weapons in your inventory pre patch then i will for sure reroll adept for a better talent. I will also retain my 25% crit chance bonus (unless i misunderstood or they now decided to change it)

I will also still run my m1a over an AR. I dont spam shots with it to begin with. Cant beat an m1a with brutal, deadly and capable(?). W/e the talent is that acts like balance pre nerf when using a ability.

Im looking forward to the changes except what they are doing with sentry/striker.

You have some great weapon drops Luigi! One lucky motherplumber! ?

The MP5 ST is nice too because it can use large optics

As for the ARs I was just referring to how the SA-58 can have higher base dmg not that they are necessarily better. I actually use a LVOA-C instead of a marksman rifle quite often because when I do get up close its nice to have 2 effective weapons.

I have been pretty freakin lucky so far in this game. I also spend a lot of time in the upper DZs and throw away a LOT of trash.

I cant stand the burst guns in this game. I run a lightweight m4 as my AR. Its similar to the LVOA C, maybe slightly higher base dmg,

I got a 204 Lvoa-c from the boss under the refeuling station last night. Talents weren't deadly and brutal, but destructive and responsive and something else. Will get it modded tonight and try it out :)
Picked up a 204 LVOA-C with swift/meticulous/fierce from a drop.  I wish I could recalibrate the meticulous to most anything else, but that doesn't sound like it will be possible since the talent recalibration should only be on weapons going forward.

Also, I think SotG mentioned that the LMG out of cover bonus will eventually be added to PvP, they're just working out some issues.  No ETA on when that might release, though.

IMHO, LVOA-C is the better option and I wished I had been lvl 75 DZ to by the blueprint from this last week.  I ran a Liberator, LWM4, and currently run LVOA-C (all same base M4 type) and I've like the LVOA-C best.  Liberator has terrible talents, my LWM4 had the best talents, but I had to burst fire it because it climbed too much (start center mass and end head on burst), and my LVOA-C has ok talents and is a lot more stable.

Liberator is a joke that I had to crush it back into mats.

I use Tactical ACR with Stability talent. Real smooth, real tough.

I'll have to try one out. I threw a stability mod on my m4 and I find it to be very easy to control.  There is a slight vertical recoil still, but I mainly burst fire with it anyway. Only time I go full auto is if the enemy (npc or player) are up close and I'm using it to finish an enemy off after using a mag of smg ammo.

Yeah, if I burst fired it almost always ended on headshots and crits, but I just couldn't open it up on someone from range like I can with my LVOA-C.  And if I need to finish someone up close like you mentioned, my Super 90 or MP5 ST are much better I CQB.
