So I was able to pick these really good lvl 214 Green Striker gloves in the DZ.  I am currently using Sentry.  I was running with a friend and I know that he is trying to build up his striker gear.  He also already has striker gloves (lvl 191), but mine was way better.  lol, I was trying to ask him questions about his glove or his other gear if we could work out a trade (without saying anything that I just picked up beast striker gloves).   Anyway what would you guys do?  Would you help out your friend or save the item for yourself for future use?  This is because I'm stuck on the Sentry gear.  Don't really like the Striker's 4 talent

Depends on what you're using as a weapon. Strikers will be best if you're using an smg or Assult rifle. Sentry's will be good if you're using a marksmen rifle. As for trading, yes I would and have helped out my comrade, if I didn't need the armor piece of course.

Thanks, that is why I'm in a sort of conflict.  I'm not gonna be using it right now, but I might need it in the future if I decide to switch.   i guess I have some time to think about it

You don't have much time. You only get an hour after picking up something.

And as far as trying to work out a trade, you do realize that he can only trade you things that he picked up in the last hour while you were grouped together, right?

Yeah but that's 1 hour in actual game time.  I just turned off my ps4 when I saw it in my extraction.  So it should still be tradeable when I reopen?  Kinda feeling greedy though, because I'm sort of collecting all types of gear types in case I want to switch and the striker gloves I picked would be a perfect starting spot for a striker build.

I am honest here. I trade whenever I do not need a set piece but I also keep pieces that are better then my current pieces because I too want to collect at least 3 out of the 4 sets with good stats. And I am still collecting my planed 4 pieces Sentry, 2 pieces Strikers set. So when I happen to find a set piece that I don't have yet or that is better then what I currently have, I keep it. If it is not better then what I have I trade it.

Of course it all depends upon if you find "alot" of set pieces or almost none. If you happen to stumble upon a piece every day you could trade more often. If you happen to find one every 100 hours playtime I would keep it to be honest.

When I run with my squad/clan, trading is a must. If I can't use it, it gets dropped in case they can, and they do the same for me/us.

When I run pugs, trading may as well not exist.

If you're going to be running with that friend often, it's HIGHLY beneficial to you to gear him/her up as much as possible. If not, he/she's got an hour to find something worth trading for it.
