Having played Destiny since its beta as a clan member in a group of 300 and playing with 2 other groups of about the same size, I found only about 20 playing the division beta. Many stayed out due to language and half that played turned off the dialogue. Since it adds nothing to the game, why not leave the choice to the players? I think far too many games over value enticing kids by taboo players who would rather play without the cursing.

Second is a worry of the mindless single player mission similar to the assassins creed that lost me after unity as a customer. Last is p vs p map and the fear of high advantage of those who get to play the map the most as to those less familiar with it. Wondering if the concept of multiple pvp styles like capturing flag, holding areas. Surely someone most have notice the vide variety of play and maps in pve of Destiny as well as the variety of play style and maps of pvp as a key to its success.

Honestly you could play the game single player but I feel it's meant to be played with a squad. Having played, I had a much better time running the story missions with friends than solo. So even if it's mindless it's still find cause you're with friends. Also playing tactically makes this much mess mindless than some might think, you have to use cover and play carefully to win.

Your point on language shouldn't be an issue since it has a mature rating. If parents are allowing their kids to play it that's on them. They have been warned and it's up to the parents not the game industry to set standards for kids.

As as for mindless single player missions we will have to wait and see what the actual game is. They didn't show much story at all in any of the betas.

I am a reformed destiny die hard with over 1400 hours into it. The beta was a small section of the game. There are dlc's planned as well as the rumored (most of which came true) of 8 player raids. The map size is the same size as fallout but more dense. The only missions from the beta are to set up your talents and your base. It didn't go into any real story. There is content and more content is planned.

Yeah I sunk over 1000 hours into destiny. I've been burned by lack of content. I don't feel that way with The Division. Even with the short beta, there's so much to do. It's a different style of play too, and I feel this will allow for more players in the end game raids. It can't wait.

you comparing destiny to this isnt really a good idea..apples and oranges. Destiny has an arena type PvP, so they can have multiple "arena" maps and have different types of PvP. where as the division's PvP is part of the world with no load screens. you cant have different types of PvP in this type of game. as for PvE, the division is set in one city, new york, and destiny has several different planets so they can have different maps. you cant compare the two games at all so its best to not even try to. Why should massive copy what Destiny did? They are trying to make their own unique game. if they copied Destiny in any way, they would have been ridiculed for doing it.

i have no clue how many hours i sunk into destiny but i was a day one player, haven't touched the game since i finished all of The taken king content. I don't touch the PvP in that game. not only do i suck at it HAHA, i don't find it very fun at all.  so I agree with you, this game feels so much different, i even like the PvP in the division. 2 more weeks to go..its going to be a very slllooowwww 2 weeks  :crying:

my point about language is not regulation but let the players have the option to pass on it. The blood, gore and combat does not bother most people as it is a game.  Why limit profit for something that does not improve gameplay.

limit profit? not really. 6.4m people played the beta.

If the language is such a issue bring it up with devs for a censor option maybe? They listen and are known to watch reddit, twitter, ubisoft forums and here.

I know there seems to be more content, but we all thought Destiny was good up until we were all capped. I don't want to compare the games but what happens when we all reach 30? Wander around the Darkzone trying to get better gear? I think this game has way more potential than Destiny but it could fall off real quick once you hit the level cap. If there is nothing after it.
