The dark zone needs group brackets

I agree.  They could even make the first tier 0-30 and I'd be OK with that.  I'm only a dz LVL 26 at the moment with all purple gear and as a solo player I have to stay south in DZ1 & 2 or I get completely wrecked by not only rogues but also the AI.
whats your stats like? your DPS (firearms), Health (stamina), Skills (electronics) ....if you dont mind me asking :)

Like I said I'm at all purple weapons and gear at the moment.  I have maybe two HE weapons attachments.  I have a purple Vector as my primary.  My DPS is right around 70K, Armor is Approx 63K and I think skill is down in the 12-15K range.

yeah, you definitely need to get your DPS to the 100K range, your health is decent. Do the challenge missions, the end boss does drop High end loot. also that way you can get Phoenix credit to buy High end weapon blue prints in your base of operations

I was all set to try my first challenge mission last night after everyone else went to bed.  Get home from work and the wife says "hey the girls are having a sleepover because they don't have school tomorrow."  So my basement was commandeered from me by my two daughters and four of their friends and my xbox saw nothing but Just Dance 2016 all night.  My life in a house full of women.  Gonna give it a shot tonight.

That sounds horrible. You should find a cheap 360 or ps3 and just have them play it on there haha

It's no joke man.  I'm a big hunter so I have an awesome black lab that goes waterfowl hunting with me but guess what...another female.  The only one in the house that listens to me.  So much estrogen in my house I have to drink a lot of beer just to remain sane.  I like your idea though.  Might have to think about that.

Sorry...I've totally derailed this post.

i wouldn't go so far as to what the OP of this thread suggested, group brackets. But they could instance tiers of DZ ranks after you reach regular level 30. For example DZ levels 1-10 instanced together, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, all the way up to 91-99. i think that is a good way to balance it out. just a thought
yeah, this would solve it :) one could hope something like this gets implemented

I have been reading rather disturbing reports of high lvl rogue "groups" ganking newbies near the gate of DZ01.

somehow... i feel that wasn't the developers intention to turn it into a troll/gank fest.. It's just a hunch...

I am reminded of Diablo II, and the problem we used to have that was very similar to this, it wasn't cool then.. it still isn't.

Just because it's a PvPvE zone, doesn't mean every troll gets to be a bully to lower tiers once they have their yellows.

I have read some rather ugly things since the last patch drooped.

this needs to be addressed, im not demanding anything.. im pointing out the rules of fair. when it goes into the grossly unfair, folks will shelve the game. when you can't even step into the DZ and experience all it has to offer because a group of thugs decided they'd be the next riker gang... we have problems.

I repeat.. my beef isn't with the rouge mechanic.. it's with outright ganking of newbies that have 0 chance to get their feet and give a good fight, folks exploiting glitches in packs... that kind of thing.. we need some oversite, we are being overrun with thugs if what i've read this weekend is true.. and they pat each other on the back on FB while someone who could have been a great player walks away....

It's enough to make one take up a career as a Rouge Hunter.. back in the day we'd have admins/mods in game to deal with this type of thing.. seems those days are gone.. will the comunity sort something out.. i hope so.. but then even a report feature could be abused... it's abuse that's the problem, not the game mechanic itself.

Note: I haven't had it happen to me, so this isn't a cry.. it's a callout on disturbing and borderline banable behavior.. and a plea to the dev's (if your listening) to code some sort of feature to tag these... folks.. something server side that reads who's been rouge for "too long" and detects and flags unbalanced/frequent ganking... and use those stats to place those who do this in a server with their own kind.. removed from those that wish to play as intended.

But level has nothing to do with skill or power level in the DZ. The only thing I can see as a benefit to grouping is party size.
Not skill, but if you are at rank 30+ / 50+ you are able to buy better gear etc than lower levels, which gives you an advantage imo...
When I was at level 30 and DZ rank 15, i could not buy anything from the dz vendors, hence not getting better gear, so when a squad of dz rank 30+ etc attacked, i had little to no chance...

But the real issue are "ganksquads" and cheaters... seeing more and more cheaters in the DZ :(

they basically need just 2 instances when a player hits level 30....one for DZ rank 1-49, and one for 50-99. that way the people with the advantage can only fight players with the same advantage. as for the ganksquads...there seems to be these type of players in every game of this nature..there will always be aholes. the only way to combat that for now is numbers, just need everyone in the zone to hunt them down, but thats easier said then done..  and the best thing to do about hackers/cheaters is take their names and report them to ubisoft...i have reported 3 players so far for obvious hacking.

Yeah, that would make a more "natural" progression in the DZ.

And I agree about the "ganksquads" and cheaters, i have reported some cheaters myself, and it will always be a cat and mouse chase to get them :P
