When you secure a supply drop does everyone in your group get the drop or just the guy who opens it?  Can anyone confirm with certainty?

Everyone in your group gets it.

The only thing I'm not sure about is if there is a range on it. If one of your members is half a kilometer away when you open it, I don't know for sure if they get it or not at that distance.

I believe there is a range limit on it. We had a squad member about a block and a half away last night and they did not receive the goods when we opened the drop.

I saw someone was lucky enough to get a Gear Set piece to drop for them so is there a chance at HE and Green gear all the time?

i would imagine there is a chance for everything on the loot table, from purple to high end to gear sets...doubt they would include green drops, but i wouldnt put it passed Massive to do that :)

So I guess I am a bit confused about the supply drops. I had teamed up with another agent last night and it was just the two of us running around. We were notified about the drop and ran to it. Killed the enemies and my teammate opened the drop. We continued to focus on the wave of NPC's and eventually we were notified we did not secure the drop. I thought we just had to grab the loot? I was mostly focused on the NPC's and adrenaline was pumping so I may have missed something.

When you say teamed up were you actually in a "group" or just two random agents running around? If you were not grouped up then he got the loot because he opened the drop.

There is a group of enemies you kill, the named elite drops a HE and there is also a loot container you have to physically open (6-8 second open time? something like that) that will give You and your team Superior Items and above (Usually 2 items). Not sure of the 'lootable radius' for your team. Haven't had enough time to test that per say haha

Can confirm this. Got Striker's Gloves from the Loot Drop box

when i wrote green, i wasnt referring to the new green gear sets....i was referring to the plain green gear you used when you were levels 1-5 :) realized when i wrote that ,there would be confusion...my bad :)

Ah. I remember getting the superior items. Might have missed the HE drop. Like I said it was just the two of us and was something of a S%@# show in there. It was down a road at the edge of the map so there was only one way out. Waiting for an ambush. Very intense but damn it was fun.

It's also possible that you got that message based on another supply drop that your team didn't get, since more than one appears at a time.

This is most likely the case. There are more than one supply drop location, and if no one got to the other one it will say that it was not secured. Not that you lose anything since you secured one. It is not easy to secure both since you have a time limit to kill NPCs loot and run to a new location (that can be a few blocks away) and again kill NPCs and secure that drop all in like 5 mins.

Forget the NPC's at supply drops when you arrive, just pop survivor link and get your ass to the crate and open it whilst a buddy takes the aggro, then kill the NPC's after loot secured. That's how we have been running it, been quite effective, yet to get a gear set piece from supply drops though, best I got was a HE Military AK which was crap!

Hi Agents!

So last night I joined a group with one other player and I got the notification that a supply drop was incoming. Not in DZ.

I legged it to the spot, spent 10 mins killing the 32 Rikers on my own but then I couldn't open supply box!!!! Then the agent who was still in my group fast travelled to me and opened the box! WTF!!????

Was this his supply drop? Did I just hear it because we were in the same group? Are they specific to the agent?

Thanks

I don't have be season pass (yet) but I'm guessing this was one of his season pass supply drops.  Supposedly they appear outside of the DZ.  That would explain why it was outside the DZ and I think you're right about hearing it because you were in his group.

Yes, it was a season pass drop. I forgot to say too that after he opened the drop, there was no loot for me to collect! Hence why I was a bit miffed after killing all the Rikers.

I guess we were both season pass holders and it was his drop. I just saw the same drop as I joined his group.

the season pass drop is different, if you've already received yours then you won't get loot again. Example: I got mine solo but a friend of mine joined me a few days later and he was group leader...his drop showed up on my map as well as his....we both cleared the mobs and it would only open for him.

Seems fair or you could just keep teaming up with new people and getting more and more loot for free!!

Ah ok. Thank you. Good. I'm not the only one. Makes sense.
