Simple question; When getting up close and personal in The Division what are you rocking? A shotgun or a micro SMG? During the closed BETA I found a micro SMG that absolutely ripped people to pieces, by adding an extended mag I was having a great time. But I do feel I've probably not given a shotgun the chance it needs to shine. I was just wondering everybody else's opinion.....

Interested as well. So far all of my encounters have been at distance so using a single shot rifle (not sure the name) with a scope and some Police AR (the M1?) as my secondary.

Depends on your definition on up close and personal.

An smg will have more range and more of a chance to do damage if target gets away from you.

A shotgun will be straight deadly up close. I have a saiga12 automatic shotgun that rips and it's a low end blue. Yet if the target gets away from me. My shotgun wont do enough dmg at range
