This is an approach @MattGoesBuck had posited on reddit. Thought it might be of interest.

I;ve notice that not all 229 set gear can be recalibrated for attributes. Anyone know more?

Haven't gotten into 1.4 yet (World Series FTW), but I did see this RT by the forums and saved the image.  Good idea to post it up here and I'm interested to know about the 229 recal issue.  I wonder if it's a mistake or bug with 1.4, possibly when those items were updated for 1.4 the "switch" that's allows them to be recaled wasn't set to "on".
