If you gear your player up to above 225 before starting underground you're guaranteed 268 gear or 229 gun caches with every underground rank up. You can get a to level 15 (14 caches) in about 3-4 hours. Worth stashing your best clobber and starting a new agent. Much easier and more fun than messing about in dz6 or attempting herioc incursions!!!

Thanks for this info.  I'm pretty sure that similar statements have been posted in the various UG threads.  

The key is to have your highest level gear on when you open the caches, whether or not you run that gear when you play or not.  Caches reward you with gear that's supposed to raise your overall GS, so as long as you're equipping all of your highest stuff you'll get high GS stuff - but it's more often not crap and not what you're looking for.

Yeah, i wish i had kept my caches until i had raised my gs. The first lot of l3vels are quick.
