Randomly generated dungeons, how do we feel?

Its... dare I say .... pretty ground breaking. What other major MMORPG does this really? Not many, certainly not the biggest ones. It can be good or bad, really depends how much randomness there is in the end. So far the more scaled down version of randomisation for missions (S&D missions for example) has had really positive feedback. This could be a major step forward on that though and might be fraught with problems until they get the balance right.

It doesn't fit with their "realistic" portrayal of New York.

That being said, I know the randomly generated dungeons are super popular in games like Diablo 3.

I'm getting pretty bored of farming the same places, so I look forward to something new.

Not only that, We will get missions and incursions on Heroic difficulty for better rewards can't wait to see How it will be, I guess you will have to get all the 240 best gear before starting to think to try it...as well 2 missions (queen tunnel and another one will be on challenge mode and heroic).

Challenge already at 34 in incursions....what's gonna be the level on Heroic? Have no clue but it will not be piece of cake! New gear again...and more stuff!

For me I will like get rid of the gear set and put everything on HE....but like with power level 32 or 33 etcc....you know same things as the mods and before the updates. I don't like the gear score but anyway I still enjoy it even with that GS crap...I still manage to have a decent hybrid/assault type of thing...I have GS 228 on everything now with decent stats but I still will go back with all HE gear but with different power levels...That will be my only thing to change...maybe that will bring more balance in PVP for the whiners.

Anyway just my point of vue! See you in the DZ agents!

Vinny out!

Not so sure, what it doesn't fit with is the static viewpoint the game gives that once you've completed a mission that in-game enemy faction suddenly disappears. From experience we know that sort of thing doesn't happen so I'm guessing the premise of this is that because you (as in 2nd Wave Agents) have pushed them out from strongholds in various places in Manhattan the gangs have moved into the subway and sewer systems.

A bit like Viet-Cong tunnel systems allowing them to travel from one place to another to perhaps strike again above ground then disappear again. Maybe the HVT/S&D missions will change to reflect this as well and give it a truly dynamic feel as a living, breathing and evolving world and scenario that maybe you don't really have under the control you feel you did before.

I should have been more clear. I mean in regards to the maps and locations being based on the actual city layout.

If we are getting randomly generated dungeons, it strays from that.

I believe they stated that Heroic is not going to be a dramatic increase on Mob Levels, but instead just going to be MORE Mobs and those Mobs will be far more aggressive.  So imagine instead of 5 Shotgun rushers they'll be 10 Shotgun Rushers followed by 5 Grenadiers that don't take cover but instead just spam grenades at you while rushing followed by 3 Heavy Machine Gunners who are running while firing lol.  Paraphrasing, of course... but that's basically what they said at the Spec Ops Event.

As a big Diablo 3 fan myself, I approve.  At this point it's hard to argue about realism when you consider the bullet sponges that make up the entire game.  Even if the "dungeons" are randomly generated, I'll play along and say there's so much under NYC I never see the same thing twice...kinda like I say the baddies are just wearing armor.  ...ya know, those kevlar hoodies :-P

This update is going to be awesome! Heard from one of the videos rumoured 3 new gear sets and new item level to raise to 268. Update 1.3 due to drop on all platforms end of the month then underground to be a separate paid for DLC. I'm on ps4 shame I wait a month but will be plenty to keep me busy with heroic modes.
