Quickstep Pistol – Is it actually dropping from Red Moon Event Gear Caches?

Quickstep Pistol – Is it actually dropping from Red Moon Event Gear Caches?

I've now spent close to 200 event keys opening Gear Caches during the Red Moon Halloween event, specifically trying to get the Quickstep pistol.

I've received plenty of other named weapons, but not a single Quickstep.

Several loot tables claim it's included in the event cache loot pool, but I'm starting to question whether that's accurate.

Has anyone actually received a Quickstep pistol from one of these event Gear Caches?

I'm specifically asking about the Gear Caches purchased with event keys, not drops from bosses or other activities.

I'd appreciate confirmation from someone who's actually had one drop, rather than another guide repeating the published loot table.

I can't confirm a Quickstep from the event-key Gear Caches myself; the RNG layer on those caches makes published loot tables hard to verify from player logs alone. What I'd watch for is whether anyone reporting a drop specifies the exact cache type and tracks their opening count, since a single drop doesn't tell you much about the actual rate. 200 keys without one is frustrating but not proof the pool is wrong. If you find a confirmed drop, the source and cache type would matter more than the count.

It's worth asking in a dedicated loot-tracking thread rather than trusting guides that just restate the published table. Elizabeth's point about cache type is the key detail; "Gear Cache" gets used loosely for several event variants, so a drop report only counts if it names the exact one. 200 keys without a hit is unlucky, but with no posted drop rate it doesn't settle anything. I'd keep a running count of opens by cache type and compare against anyone else doing the same before concluding the pool is wrong.

Elizabeth and the second poster both make a fair point about cache variants — "Gear Cache" does seem to cover more than one event container, so a drop report only helps if the exact type is named. I haven't chased the Quickstep specifically, but I'd say keeping a log of opens per cache type is the only way a claim holds up. If someone did get one, the cache name and their count matter far more than a single anecdote. Until then, I wouldn't treat the loot table as verified either way.
