PC [PC]Game & PC freeze after ~20min

Hello,

I started playing The Division yesterday on PC but have encountered some problems. Although I'm playing with almost everything on max settings and even streaming on FullHD 60FPS without having any single lag, my game still keeps freezing after about 20min of playing time.

If I don't log my character in, it's fine, but when I do, then after about 20min my game freezes, without any error messages, and I can't do anything but disconnect my computer from the power supply.

My components:
• CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-6700K 4C/8T / 4,0 GHz
• GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 980Ti 6GB GDDR5
• Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Gaming 3, Intel® Z170
• RAM: 16384 MB 2133 MHz DDR4
• OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit

Awfully strange, your specs are top notch, and as you've said it runs perfectly while streaming it's not a hardware problem. You say you have no errors, does that mean you don't hear a notification such as a "dong" in the background as well?

No, I don't.

I already have found the solution for my issue. My CPU fan only started to run faster at a higher temperature, so it didn't have enough time to cool down which led my pc to freeze after a certain time. Now I can play for hours without having any lags.

Just read your post was going to tell you to move your ram around to see if you had a bad stick or check clock temps. I have almost the same setup. glad you figured it out.
