Dwarven Lord Under The Mountain
Bit of a noobish question but what do you do with your excess clothing (appearance) items? With a maximum of four characters per account and a plethora of (honestly) horrid looking clothing .... I mean who wears a white puffer jacket?!? ... even at low level I've found myself with stacks and stacks of clothing I would never wear.

Do you just store them for other characters? Can you sell them to a vendor somewhere? Are you waiting for item trading to be introduced at some point? Do you just dispose of them some other way? Are there VERY rare clothing drops that people keep trying for?

To my knowledge you can't use them or exchange them for anything else (or sell them to a vendor actually but being newish to the game and my Googlefoo failing me, I thought I'd ask).  So is there a point where you pretty much stop helping civilians as 90% of the time you get either a useless clothing item or a grey drop?

I have got a load of clothes too! As far as I know there is nothing that can be done with them, it really isn't worth bothering with the civilians in need as you said. I'll keep my items for Challenges thanks!

well, they are just vanity items that don't take up any space at all in your inventory. you just pick what you like and just let the others collect dust. im sure they will tweak it as the game grows. as for now, just ignore the items you dont like.

Yeah, as you say though it seems an odd system currently with lots of missing potential. I have read though that they plan on bringing in item trading...no idea in what form that would take (auction house style with a mix of normal and DZ credits would be my preferred option) but at the moment the biggest impact for me is the conflicting emotion of ... wanting to help the civilians but the down feeling that I'm wasting my time with regards in game mechanics.

At the moment its just a personal Roleplay aspect for me, which is sort of fine but not ideal as I'm still struggling to find regular players to team up with.

My personal feeling is that maybe a temporary rebalance of drop types from the civilians might be a good idea so you get something else other than vanity items until such times as something else is available?

the trading system will be  as such that you will only be able to trade with your team mates. no auction house. you have a two hour window after a trade till that item you traded for will be yours. so in case you change your mind, you can trade back.
