"It all started with one infected banknote. Then everything started falling apart."

This was posted on The Division's official facebook. Wonder if there's a secret message regarding the beta in there lol.

I just posted about a picture they released about that supposed "single banknote", and it looks like there might be a message about the beta if you believe enough :)

Haha yeah I saw, you have to believe pretty damn hard. Pretty cool release on their part though.

As far as I see theres 2 major ways that a game can be hyped for release, the company can either release literally nothing and use imagination to excite people, or they can create a unique and immersive universe for the player to relate to and want to engage themselves in. I think the way they are choosing to do this fits the universe and theme of the game really well, and almost makes me wonder how much different the game would be if the virus turned the people into zombies or monsters for another PVE enemy.

I love the subtlety of their releases, little tid bits. I agree with all you're saying. I am glad the virus didn't create "monsters" or "zombies" I feel it's so played out. I like the realistic approach here. I virus kills ALOT of people and the bad guys take advantage of the situation, prey on the weak and take over. Definitely a Tom Clancy approach to an apocalyptic mmo.

Omg yes!

I feel that if they ever made other parts of the country, they would have to make a dlc or an update where the virus breaks out, spreads, and then the agents are called out on a whole new scale.
