Thought I would start the hype early and maybe get a conversation going. I've been waiting for this game to come out for forever it seems like and although most people don't have very high expectations for this game, I personally haven't been this excited for a game to be released in a very long time. It fits everything I love in a video game while not being stuck in "Early Access" like most other gear/survival games. I'm sure there are others as excited as me. :D

Dude I'm so with you, I haven't been excited about a game in a longggg time. Not even MGS V and I am a huge Metal Gear Solid fan. I hear ya on the early access thing, glad this game is being developed by a big time company, even if it's Ubisoft.

All aboard the hype train!

GOTY for sure? Yes.
Thats going to be a tough title for a game to win this year with other amazing games such as Dark Souls 3 coming out as well.  :P  2016 is going to be a pretty awesome year for games.

True, but one can only hope ;)  This is gonna be an awesome year for the gaming community!

Best year in a long time if you ask me. If MGS V hadn't been released unfinished it could of been a great year last year.
Personally I liked the gameplay of MGS V, I just felt like it got really repetitive after around the first half of the story. I couldnt be bothered to even do any of the side missions because the main ones could barely keep my interest after so many of them felt so similar.

IMO The Witcher 3 is extremely overrated as the GOTY. It was a decent game at best, but nothing in 2015 really STOOD out as an amazing game so far for me except Rainbow Six Siege. This is my opinion, keep that in mind.

Don't get me wrong, the gameplay and mechanics where amazing... but my god it got so repetitive! Also they removed the 3rd part of the game and haven't said a word about Metal Gear Online for the PC

It's basically an explorer sci-fi game that is technically multiplayer. It is so big that the chnce of finding another player is so slim and even if you did, you wouldn't know it (no in game chat or gamertags shown, yet).

That is insane being able to fly ships in and out of planets blows my mind
Yeah, it is all seamless and every star can be visited. There are over 18 quintillion planets and even if you just touched each planet for a second, it would take over 53 billion years to visit every planet/star system.
