I just saw a post from the RAR FB page stating that they're hanging it up after 35 episodes.  I haven't had a chance to listen to the last episode, but they will be missed.  While they weren't the first or longest running Division podcast (nod to Smart Watch), they were a great source of news a entertainment.  In tribute to what they've done for the game and community, I figured we could take a moment to share a story or two about RAR and/or the RAR hosts.

I work at a university bookstore and I run the warehouse and fulfillment operation for the online orders placed through the store.  Part of my responsibilities is to help sort out all the books that students sell back at the end of the semester, including books that have no value that students donate or leave at the store.

Late this April, after the winter term buy back, I was going through about 35 cases of donated books (over 700 books) and decided that I wanted to listen to something other than my 24/7 Nickelback Pandora station, so I looked for one of these podcasts that everyone is always talking about.

It took me a couple minutes to settle on a topic, but I finally started searching for "division podcast".  I don't remember if it was the first listing, but it was near the top:

http://rogueagentradio.podbean.com/

So, I clicked on the site and pulled up the most recent episode, somewhere in the early 20's, and I hit play.

For the next hour or so I was entertained by the banter of Boom, Doom, and Dave as they discussed aspects of the game, read some Agent Transmissions, and helped out a player with the Weekly Manhunt.  I was so entertained that I decided to start listening from the beginning to see how this group started out.

Knowing where the show format ended up, it was fun to watch it evolve over the 20 episodes that led up to the current one.  I enjoyed seeing the hosts grow and evolve over the course of the show, up to and past the first episode I listened to and I came to await their Monday release to help make Monday's at work a little less... Monday.

During my time listening to them, I came to find this Forum and eventually found Bombshell Jackets, Dark Zone Report, the AimAssist crew and really became immersed in the game and it's community like I've never done before.  So, for those of you that have met me either on this site or on PS4, for better or worse, you can thank a random Google search and the guys at RAR for bringing me here.

In closing, I wish @Boomslangg, @BlessedDoom [RAR], @DeepFriedDave good luck on your future endeavors.  I hope to hear you guest on some of the other podcasts I frequent and possibly get to run some Division with you (maybe on a the next DZR Gear Up weekend on PS4).  So, until next time, maintain radio silence, and watch your corners agents.

Here, here!

I've already expressed my tearful upset at this news. I loved the podcast for its sensible and unbias positivity as well. For me only ShootFirst came close and they've stopped as well. I find it difficult to get behind or enjoy the other "console-centric" podcasts. Dare I say they're somewhat juvenile in approach and delivery? I don't want to say that in an overtly negative way or mean it as such but RAR gave me the type of game feedback I enjoyed.

Greatly missed, but looking forward to spin-off podcasts already in production.

Listened to the final transmission this morning at work and I understand why they're signing off the program, but it sucks nonetheless.  Really sucks that Dave is good to go and would still be up for running it, but I agree that it wouldn't be the same without all of them hosting.

I'm glad to hear that they'll still be part of the community and might still occasionally release content.  As for the lore show Dave and Tinkkz and going to do, I'll probably give it a listen but I don't know if it's what I'm looking for in a Division podcast since it won't be news, strats, and builds.

I understand why they’re having to run it down as well, we all get to that point …. I know I was there a few years back … where real life just has to take priority. It’s a real shame as they were one of the best and most informative podcast, as well as having a positive view point. It’s really left a hole in my podcast listening as Hello Internet is only once per month if we’re lucky.

I have started listening to Dark Zone Report, they do have PC gamers as well as console so that’s a positive for me but it’s still not quite the same production values.  Bombshell have some good info but, no detriment to them really, I’m a good 20+ years older than them and the presentation style doesn’t enamour me to them greatly.

If only I had a “radio voice” I could take a more active supporting role in these sorts of things but yuk! My voice… just yuk!

Yeah, I'm at the same point as then with a young daughter and I don't have tons of time to game or whatnot.  If I wanted to be part of a podcast, it would have to come our of the 8-10 hrs. I get to play video games each week.
