DZ bracketing, Sorry if this is repost

SO myself gs 194 and my mate gs 193 went to do DZ last night. We ran through the checkpoint and out into DZ, as soon as I entered it said my mate was DZ mismatch....now I don't know if this was a glitch but we are only 1 gs away from each other, why the mismatch?? I am stuck in 201+ bracket and he is in 161-200 bracket....please advise

My only guess is that it is based on gear owned, not gear equipped. If you have enough gear to put you to 201+ but you choose to be at 194, then it might put you in the 201+ regardless.

swap your 204 weapon for a 182. the calculation for dz brackets is currently bugged on 204 weps

so I am currently rocking 182 main and secondary... I do have a 204 smg in my inventory that I regret buying but cant bring myself to deconstruct it after spending the shit ton of PXC.

Your gear score is multiplied by 9 and takes into account you secondary weapon and your pistol.  Your dark zone level disregards your secondary weapon and pistol and divides by 7 which makes your DZ score go above 200.  You can't even have weapons and gear I equipped or in your stash that take you above 200 or it will put you in the 201+ bracket.
