Dps or gear set bonus

So I had a makeshift build that was 160k dps 267k health and 10k skill. Been farming for what seems forever to get a 4 piece striker build and so I get the striker buil and all my stats went to shit. Even with 4 piece bonus striker my character is shit now. 129k. 195k. 12k. And it seems my weapon damage has gone down as well. So I ask you guys and gals what do you think. What are you guys and gals running gear wise. My gear score is 204 all 4 strikers are 214 gs and I'm wearing 2 piece lone star for the ammo bonus one is 214 the other is  191gs. Any input on this will be appreciated seems like the dps damage is worth more than the gear set bonuses

What gear and weapons (including stats and talents) were you using before you got the strikers?  What were the stats on the gear (AR ratings and all the stats)?

What weapons (including stats and talents) are you using now?  What are the stats on your current gear (AR ratings and all the stats)?

My guess is that there were some built in synergies with the old gear that you didn't realize and when you switched to the 4x striker/2x LS the benefits didn't meet or exceed what you had with the old gear and resulted in your lowered stats (excluding the 2k increase in SP).

Yeah the old gear had good underlying talents and stats. I'm just going to keep playing around with it see what I can come up with

Smart money is seems to be with sitting on what you have and waiting for 1.4.  There is currently no clarity on what changes will come and spending a lot of time and effort fine tuning to have it all blown away would be pretty irritating  :52_fearful: .

Just to add to what @RimBlock has said, your gs# is still low. So, in progression terms, don't sweat it. In those terms, until  you are looking at 268 gear it matters not. Unless you enjoy tuning your gear.

Having said that, it is a game,  so fun is subjective.  I don't mind doing Hard mode to play with weapons or gear. ( Or, playing in lower dz brackets). Doing it in heroic comes with guilt; for me at least. So, be smart with progression or have fun. It's your game.

Yeah I hear you guys. I'm totally having fun with the game glitches bugs and all ?  It takes me a little longer to "get" games like this. I just have tons of questions.  I'm happy with my build so far. Depending on what's equipped I'm a 201-204. I seem to do well with enemy's except on incursions totally struggle with those. Thanks guys
