Crafting weapons??

well its a lottery so its worth it if you de-construct lots of items early on

unless you plan on selling every item you pick up for cash then might as well save up and buy a purple weapon

Depends on your level and the blueprint you are looking at using.

End game weapons and gear can be crafted from blueprints purchased with phoenix credits, so a stock pile of parts is recommended.

In my opinion it's not worth crafting anything until you've reached level 30. Save all of your materials till level 30 so you can use them for crafting/rerolling High-End gear. You will recieve plenty of purples from missions and DZ mobs.

Exactly this. Once you hit end game you will see the schematics that will become available so save up your mats along the way.

I just hit lv25 last night and I'm running around just fine with blue weapons that I looted. I crafted an AR earlier on then during the very next mission I looted a better one.

Yeah, usually the main story missions will give you an upgraded weapon or piece of armor. Also the last mission is a guaranteed 5 purple drops.

this has happened to me..  I'll probable be holding off on crafting until I hit lvl30 unless something comes along that boosts my numbers by a bit or if I'm not getting drops for a specific type of gear..

Crafting becomes the best way to get gear at level 30. Even better than the DZ as it stands. Make sure any blueprints you buy give you a power level 31 item or it will be a waste of phoenix credits. Use cash and DZ credits to buy purples to break down for more crafting materials because you will have to craft the same item multiple times to get the one that best suits your build.
