Crafting materials bought with Phoenix credits

We should be able to spend phoenix credits on crafting materials. Like say 500 phoenix credits for say...75 high end tools. Heck, I would pay 1000 PCs for 100 gold tools. I mean, dang, it takes 6 tools to make a weapon mod. When you get into the 201 DZ bracket, there is no way to convert division tech to materials as you no longer get any blue or green division tech. So then you are maxed out on dt. Or give us a way to convert fabric to tools, etc... I know they don't want us to rel.y on crafting for end game gear, but they sell us blueprints for things like l.v.l 32 firearms, stamina, electronic mods and extended magazines etc, which roll much, much better stats than any of the crappy mods you can get from days of dz farming. Heck, sell us crafting resources that we can convert to whatever we want to. 15 blues for 1 high end part is freakin ridiculous. I have spent hours gathering tools and end up 1-2 high ends out of it, so it is not worth it. Once you get to DZ bracket 201+, all materials that you loot in the open world should be high end, or at least the ones in the boo. Or give us some tools or other crafting materials from the dz caches, according to what we are lacking on. way out of balance at this point. I am lucky to get 2-3 high end tools out of every 30 dz items

I buy weapon mods, gold gear or gear mods from the dz vendors then break those down into mats.

I do that as well occasionally when I run across them, but as it is, we are always maxed out on gold division tech and fabric and phx creds. would just be nice if we could spend pc on stuff we could use. Anyone else have any ideas that could help? I like hearing what other agents think.

I agree that once you hit lvl 30, all mats we pick up should be HE.  Other suggestions would be to use the PC to buy HE gear and break it down, but you'd probably get a poor exchange rate based on how many mats the item breaks down into.  Also, they could either increase the drop rate of low level HE gear instead of greens/blues/purples or they could make all drops at least low level HE once you reach lvl 30 and you could just break down the drops.

Nah. Normal money should be used instead. Because:

1. People play, people get random items

2. People can choose to sell those items for Money or to deconstruct it for variety of Materials based on the type they get.

3. If they turned those items into money, they can buy a pack of material and the grade will be based on their level. Level 30 for HE. Example: $100,000 for 30 Weapon Parts.

4. If they turned those items into materials, they may get various type of materials with various grades, yet less in amount.

This way, people can do whichever they see best for their current situation as both options have pros-cons each.

Phoenix Credit should be used to buy Blueprints (serious BP like in DZ) and Division Tech. Phoenix Credit can be used as a currency to access higher quality items as it also requires you to overcome more challenge to obtain.

I completely agree. I've got something like $1.5m credits and I only use this money for buying stuff to break down and to roll/recalibrate. There's no way I'm spending my hard-earned phoenix credits on anything other than blueprints or decent gear.

...after being in endgame for a length of time, phx credits have little use, and they go from being 'hard earned' to just another useless currency quickly.

If you have played as much as I have, you realize there is no need to worry about crafting until end game and quite some time after that really since you are constantly changing out gear etc. Also, you will realize that its no problem spending 1,000,000 creds to roll a piece of gear to the stat you truly want. Maybe just let us convert gold division tech to materials. That would be the easiest solution. I had 180 dt when 1.2 landed and 3 or 4 days later, I was at 999(maxed out) They are just sitting there, of little use as well. At this point , I am buying like 3- 191 items @ 208 or so PCs and selling them for regular currency just so I am not wasting all those PCs in the DZ and daily HVTs. Get more $ for less PCs that way, than buying and selling the Historian. I do still run challenge mode missions for fun and something different, and I hate being maxed out on PCs and feeling like I am wasting them. Crafting gear keeps a lot of people as interested as does farming, just saying-so why deprive of us of 1 or 2 mats so it restricts us? I personally am not one who loves to craft over farming, but need a few better mods for all my  guns and gear on main character and alt. I am sure I am not alone. There has to be a solution though

I think that is a great idea. Phoenix credits are almost a worthless currency at this point for my character, it took getting to lvl 75 in the DZ and almost 750k DZ funds to buy all of the power lvl 32 gear mods, and there is almost no way to roll one of these mods. You literally have to farm electronic boxes for an hour to roll just one, and it is unlikely to get the stats you are looking for on the first try. I would love to do a mission or an incursion for just a cache of crafting material.

that's a pretty good idea there...missions for crafting materials! I like that

So, I guess they actually are going to let us convert gold dt to materials tomorrow with 1.3. I had not watched the whole state of the game video. Hopefully this solves the problem!
