Need some help. So I'm quite far into the game and my brother has just got it. What happens if I invite him to my game.... How does tht work. He will be of a low level etc
Also when he plays on his own... Will he be able to play from where he finished on my game... If that makes sense.
He doesn't want to miss out on all the missions etc... Just wondering how adding mated work

Progress is bound to who've you've joined. If you join your brothers game then he will have missions you've already done, completing them gives you XP and loot as normal but won't unlock anything in your "world", likewise if he joins you in your game and completes a mission he's not done yet..it will still be there (as far as I'm aware) for him to complete in his "world" when he leaves your game.

Level wise, the game will boost his level and gear at least two levels up to help to match your level. So, if he's a level 5 and you're a level 8, the game will raise his stats to a level 7 which means he will be ok in the game. This applies if he joins you or if you join him, the game will always boost to try to match the highest level player in the group.

My advice would be for you to join his group, that way he won't skip missions or have to redo missions if he plays alone later. Plus you'll be able to give him tactics and places to pick up loot that you already know about.

just a note on level 'matching'

I and two others joined a friends game, we were lvl 18 and he was GS 255.  The game "matched" us to lvl 29 with gear/weapons of that level (I think😎).  Gaming that way was rough as MOBs came out at about his level and were really bullet spongy while one-shoting us with ease.

But when we took a control point, mission or whatever - it was a rush as we really earned it.

Yeah, I think the boosting works fine 1-30 but once you get past that point the boost won't go past level 30
