Battlefield 1 trailer

Jackfrags did an excellent analysis of the trailer. It looks like it will be a great game but very graphics heavy considering most of the shots are done within the game engine.

Hey peeps,

So I was previously in a FPS based gaming clan. (hence the "Retired Ci13 Founder" in my "About Me".) We were originally based around Call of Duty 4, but we ended up switching to Battlefield 3 and 4.

The one thing I wish the most for is for EA to not f*ck over server administrators with this game. Battlefield 4 limited our powers more than any other game. We couldn't enforce our rules, or even enforce EA's Term's of Service. Unless we switched it to a ranked server. The problem with that is EA will not allow your server to be on the Quick Match list. So nobody could join your server unless they went through the server browser, or favorited it. This, and a few other problems with EA, have lend me to call EA the dark side of gaming, and DICE still having a bit of light left in it.

If we could have BF3 quality netcode or better, that would be a HUGE win for EA. I also have a question about the game engine. Obviously, the game won't look exactly like this, as it's not gameplay, and it's not released yet. But I'm wondering if DICE will continue using Frostbite 3, or will they create a Frostbite 4? And if on a new engine, I hope the Intel Core 2 Quad's/Core i3 2nd generation's can run it.

I do love that they are going back to the World Wars. Futuristic and Modern Warfare have been all that's been released these past few years. However, I don't really remember any shooter being in a World War 1 setting.

This may be a huge blow to Activision and Call of Duty. As they're fans have been asking for years for a World War game. And Activision has for the most part has ignored they're audience. So I think a good percentage of Call of Duty's player will move to Battlefield 1 later this year.

i bet you will get a lot of your questions answered at E3 this year. I dont think they are done with frostbite 3 yet...but i could be wrong.

If only they made this a third person cover based shooter ... then it would be perfect for me. lol!

Mainly as I really can't play FPS's at all but even then I've bought BF titles before as I still love the games and this one looks even better.

i cant play FPS on console.. FPS games are SO much better on PC..at least to me they are. better control with a mouse and keyboard than with a controller imo. with that said, this game looks awesome...i will most likely get this and wildlands

Ohhh yeah...Wildlands ... we might have to have a section on these forums for that game next year buddy. You want an Agent Origins story? Wildlands.

lol tell me about it...using thumbsticks trying to aim is like slow motion..by time i get my sights on someone , im usually dead haha. Yes wildlands, we might have to talk g1nt3r into splitting this forum up into 2 parts, one for the division and 1 for wildlands ,  that game looks great. they have agent origin stories for wildlands already?

No, the story teller in me is thinking ahead that The Division & Wildlands:

1) both are Tom Clancy of course

2) both feature "specially trained" cover operatives of course

3) timeline of Wildlands appears to be pretty much "present"

4) timeline for Division is "near future"

5) Perhaps you could consider Wildlands a prequal to The Division if you imagine them in the same universe .... (same agents perhaps?)

The games feature similar gameplay it seems so using this forum would be a good idea as I'm sure a majority of players here will be getting it as well. Keep the people in one place I say!

Yeah, I'll let @g1nt3r think about that. Of course I'm just one voice but pretty sure a big majority of users of this forum and Discord are likely to be getting the next MMO co-op Tom Clancy game to be honest. Seems it will be a good use of resources as well as gain more users.

Well I mean I could either add a dedicated forum(s) to wildlands or create a whole new forum... It's tough to get them populated though honestly.
