The Rogue Mod
Let me start off by saying this is gonna sound awful, and REALLY close to a pro-eugenics thing, but it isn't, I swear lmao

Am I the only psycho that feels like Amhearst might have had some valid points in his final message?

Granted, killing people is bad (by popular consensus lol), but maybe humanity has taken this whole "we're special and sacred and necessary" diatribe a bit too far?

Maybe we DO need some predators to cull/control the population? Microscopic or otherwise. Dinosaurs sound good too.

Maybe we would be better off with natural selection for fortitude still a part of our evolution?

Just judging the mood here...thoughts?

Woah this one requiers alot of very open-minded thinking and tolerance to debate on peacefully. :10_wink:

A friend of mine has a saying he does for a long time now: "The human race is like cancer for the planet and we should not wonder if we get cured when we spread too far."

So from a very distant, bigger picture like view, I can see a bit of sense in that last statement from Amhearst. Because if you see it from a pure and cold scientific point of view, there is no denying that the sheer amount of people will cause this planet to become less habitable in the not too distant future. Some say it has already begun...so we are creating our own population control by destroying the planet up to the point where it just can't sustain enough people or has enough habitable zones left for all of us to live.

Many examples in history have proofen that each ecosystem tends towards balance again and maybe there really is some kind of killer virus just somewhere in the yet untouched piece of jungle that has the potential to kill billions of people.

Or take a look at the multiresistant germs/bacteria that we "created" those have the potential too to become a hazard for humanity. Or someday a flu will mutate in a way that it gets so deadly that many people will die.

There are alot of possible bad scenarios and a deadly virus that may even be human engineered lying in some cold-war lab in the cooler waiting to be released by accident or terrorists or just a crazy enough scientist is just one of them.

I am rather one of the "the glass is half full" types. So I don't "hope" for a bad scenario to happen. My ideal world would be a bit Star Trek like where all human beeings work together for the best of human kind. To make progress as a race not as individual countries. But I somehow think that it needs a really big threat for the whole planet for that to happen. Like a proof that we are not the only intelligent species in this universe or something like that. Thad reduces the differnces in culture religion and things like that to nothing and opens everybodys eyes for the need to work together.

....I better stop now or I start a novel here of how I would change the world if I could. :22_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
