Dwarven Lord Under The Mountain
....toying with the idea of buying some Uplay credits and buying some gear via the store. However, some questions and opinions are needed:

Are all the items unlockable in-game? (I believe they are)

Whilst being mainly cosmetic in nature what are your thoughts on the gun and attachments packages?

WWII package anyone?

..who's bought already, did you feel it was worth the £3.99 or whatever it was?

The only stuff I've bought (jacket, G36, El Jefe stogie) have been with credit I earned from playing games or some other ways (didn't buy them).  I was a fan of the G36 to start and I like the cigar, but I haven't used the jacket.

I haven't really looked over the new stuff (what you mentioned), but I don't tend to buy credits for games to get vanity items.  I'd be curious to hear what others think to see if they're worth it.

Well, yermv (your exchange rates may vary).

I had wondered. Since these are not content based, I felt it was spending real money on things that don't exist, so I'd prefer it to be cheaper on those terms. Otherwise my inner-granddad gets upset. You can imagine the internal dialogue that I seek to avoid

Attachments might be good for the gun aficionados, but for me 5hey prolly look the same but different. These things really are how they make you feel with the identity of your avatar. It's very personal, so objectivity should be checked at the front desk.

For me personally, my identity of my avatar doesn't warrant the expense for this type of game. For me what's available from the start and what's earnt in exploration is enticing enough.

Just to avoid confusion, what Quinch meant here was GRW Credits, which is to buy items from Store. This is different shop section from UbiClub, which requires uPlay points.

To answer the question, most guns and attachments are unlockable in the game. The rest of the items aren't.

I would buy it exclusively for the Bren but ... I can't justify the cost based on just that to be honest either.
Considering they have their own store with their own currency system, why didn't they make something like ala carte combo type.

Say, 1 gun +1 clothing item= $3

1 gun + 2 clothing items= $4

2 gun + 3 clothing item + 1 vehicle + 3 patch = $8

So on and so forth. This way at least we can choose the items rather than being forced to shell out 20 bucks for a bomber jacket, a few more unneeded items, and 2 novelty guns. I mean, 20 bucks is a quarter of the standard edition retail price in my place. How is that make any ducking sense.

Biggest issue, and ultimately barrier, to me buying these packs is that currently the vanity items CANNOT be split up or mixed-n-matched. If you buy a vanity set (say Division Agent one) you have to wear ALL OF IT OR NOTHING.

Who the hell wants to run through a hot tropical country wearing a biohazard mask?!?

But I’d take the jacket, trousers etc happily.

I know this has been raised as a request from the player community to the Dev team however so I’m hopeful it will be made a feature. I know Division is a different game engine etc but I can’t see why it would be an issue especially if you’ve got packs already allowing individual items such as the WWII pack (e.g. the helmet).

Completely agree that this it kinda dumb.  There outfit should be added to the costumes (similar to the outfit sets in Division) for the full set, but you should be able to piece-mail it too.

Completely disagree with you, why the hell wouldn't you want to do that?

Depends.

Any clothing items under category of Outfit (Division, GRFS, Unidad, Rebel Leader, Dying Earth, Yeti Hunter) are all fixed.

The rest of them, such as the Bomber jacket from Last Chance, are individual items. The only annoying thing is that most of them are reskinned, such as Leather Jacket, the Termites, Jungle Pants, etc.
