Decided to just jump into DZ before getting link and got to DZ lvl 13.  The challenge is actually pretty fair, killed a couple rogues and got killed by some and the one time some one hijacked I killed him and ended up extracting again.

yep it really is IMO 

i will stay at this level roughly until I hit max DZ rank you will find the odd power ranger guy but on the whole it is balanced fairly well

I ended up running a mission when I was at lvl 13 and bumped into lvl 14.  Would have been fine, but one of the guys I matchmade with was new to the game so I ran a couple missions with him and some encounters and side quests and ended up somewhere between 15 & 16.  I'll just get to like lvl 17-18 and then I'll be at the top of the 15-19 bracket, a little more challenge but easier than lvl 30.

I had hoped to stay 13/14 to be at the top of the bottom DZ bracket, but I felt my time was better spent working with this newcomer.  I also walked him through a brief description of how to recalibrate gear, to practice it now in low levels where it's cheap and doesn't matter, and to get into the DZ ASAP and try to get to between DZ lvl 75-80 at as low a character level as possible to make life easier.  I also suggested that he stop by the forums if he was look for some more help and/or people to play with.
