Starting Again

Hi i think i might have to start a new character because i think i leveled up to fast now im level 24 and still have level 18 missions to do in my mind i wasn't getting good loot from doing these missions so i decided i would skip them and move on to the missions that were my level like the russian consulate for example i just completed that tonight and when i looted the hornets body i got a blue level 25 sniper rifle (crap) and a blue performance mod (crap) , so i checked youtube to see what other people got and it was alway puple gear the got cool masks and vest e.c.t so im a bit pst off . mabey i should have stayed out of the DZ  and focused on doing the story what do you guys say ? should i start again and do the story in the right order ?

Personally i wouldnt. I did almost all the sides so most main missions i did were below my lvl. Also,as far as i can gather, the dz rank has nothing to do with the main game rank. Also, you can always redo missions to try for better loot. The main missions become daily missions when your reach lvl 30.

There is no benefit to starting over. The loot drops are not based on what order you do them in.

I would consider doing the missions on hard though. You will get better loot that way.

Honestly though, you are going to just want to trash everything when you get to level 30 anyhow.

Pretty much this. 

Every weapon that ISN'T level 30 is only good for 1 hour. (In game hour) That is about the time it takes to level up. So pretty much, you're not gonna be happy with drops until rank 25, but the stuff you actually keep won't drop til level 30.

Purple drops come from doing the missions on hard. If you get blue drops its because its on normal.
