Quit Your Whining, stop your complaining. Quit yer b$%@&ing.

Seriously. All of these issues you people are complaining about were warned well ahead of the full game. The dark zone is no joke. It's not a place for people who don't know what the heck they are doing. It was told there will be high level ais and high level players in there. Don't believe me here's a news article the day of launch explaining what to expect.

Seriously, do your research before playing or buying a game. Then turn around saying it wasn't what you expected. Sit down, shut up and put your thumb in your mouth. There were 2 chances to play the beta of this game and you seriously should have taken advantage of it you cry baby whining turds. If you are having issues, ask for help. I'm available and love the dark zone. I have had a few problems but it's the dark zone for fudge sake. It is no joke. It is hard.

End rant.

I decided yesterday to go it alone in the DZ and for about 2 hours didn't run into any problems what so ever. Got into good firefights with high level NPC's , had some other players helped me out a few times, and we went our separate ways. The only time i ran into a slight problem was when i was in a team of 3 later on. We ran into a hacker. Had to have been a hacker because he took 3 rapid shots and he had 3 rapid kills. he killed me while i was climbing a rope to a rooftop. all 3 of us were down in seconds..no way that happens unless he was hacking.  Other than that, no problems. we even went rogue a couple of times, we got hunted down and killed. I lost a DZ level and some cash.  did we  immediately run to the forum to cry about it? No, we kept playing to get our level back and had a blast doing it.

They have been advertising this game for 3 years. they put out a video last year at E3 of what can happen when you go into the dark zone. they had 1 alpha in December and 2 beta's before launch. there is zero excuse to not know what the DZ is about before you buy the game. unless you live in a cave, totally devoid of any outlets to you to research this game before you buy. If you don't like it, don't play the game. chalk it up to lesson learned and move on. Crying about it on a fan forum will get you nowhere.

The one thing I've never understood in video games is when some one can complain on forums for hours about how much they hate a game but then still continue to play it. If you really hated it you'd just play something else, or stop playing all together. Lets grow up kids..there's a whole safe PvE zone out there for you to somersault around in if you can't handle the DZ

I totally agree.

I will say that they do need to cut back the penalties for going Rogue a bit. It is SO hard to survive as a rogue agent. Then you throw in the fact that you lose so much for getting killed as a rogue, and nobody really wants to go rogue.

At one point yesterday I was DZ rank 29. There were 3 of us. We found a rogue hiding on a rooftop. Went up after him. Well, his two buddies were there. We didn't realize at first that they were part of the same group. They started jumping in front of us and made us go rogue. Which was fine. We eliminated them without much trouble. We defended ourselves against multiple attacks, but as people kept attacking it was impossible to get the counter to go down. When we were finally taken out, I went all the way back to just barely over level 27.

I am fine with having penalties for dying as a rogue agent and for just dying in the Dark Zone. I think they need to be dialed down a bit though.

The gameplay itself is great. In fact, I would love it if they dial back the penalties so that people go rogue more often and more often try to stab people in the back. I think that is great.

The other thing I think they need to do is cutback the loot drop frequency, but increase the quality of the loot dropped. If you know there is a better chance that someone you see carrying loot has a better item than just a purple silencer attachment, you will be more likely to consider going rogue and trying to take it.

Right now, I can get far better gear from Phoenix credits, so I'm not really tempted to steal loot from others.

The best part about this is that they're working on a fix for making going rogue a little more appealing. Kind of scary actually..I like it

I really hope they make it worthwhile. About the only time I go rogue anymore is by accident.
they are adding/tweaking somethings this week. everyone is speculating that the patch will address the DZ. i agree that the penalty is too high for anyone wanting to go rogue, so that needs to be tweaked a bit, but i also don't want the penalty to be too low where it doesn't matter to anyone if they go rogue or not. if its too low, the entire zone will be rogue and people will just camp entrances to the zone... its a fine line to be sure.

Of course, special snowflakes will whine like special snowflakes. I still remember one of the Call of Duty's where people started a petition and site to boycott the game. Back then Xbox and Playstation gamercards as forum signatures were a thing. Of course, on DAY 1 of game release, you look at all of their sigs and they're all playing Call of Duty and still manager to complain incessantly for weeks.

Doesn't matter which game, the special snowflakes will always make themselves obviously... painfully apparent.

If I have a group of 4 sometimes we go rogue just to throw some variety into the gameplay, plus the slight adrenaline rush knowing people are actively hunting you is pretty unheard of in game as far as I know.

Also sorry if I'm the a-hole that likes to go rogue for fun sometimes..

Hi all. First post.

Just wanted to to say I love the Division and the Dark Zone but I find it incredibly rare I come across other people in the DZ when I play with a team with a friend.

When end I say rare I mean we played dark zone for three hours today in three separate goes (yes about an hour each) and we didn't come across anyone. Normally we may see two or three in an hour.

Does that hat sound normal to everyone else?

Within the last few days I have noticed the following.  If you go in by yourself, prepare to be attacked by others.  There has also been a large increase in players going manhunt.  This has added to the experience, but I refuse to go into the dark zone alone now as the penalty for dying is to severe.  I understand they are looking at it though and might address it in the upcoming patch.

Go in with a group if you want to have the best experience and most fun!

I agree. There still needs to be enough of a penalty to make it a risk and make you think twice about it. I just don't think someone should lose an entire level or 2 levels for one occurrence of going rogue. But there absolutely needs to be a risk of loss, or, like you said, everyone will go rogue all the time.

I'm with you. Going Rogue is fun and it should be fun. If they dial back the penalty a little bit, we'll see it happen more often, which I think is great.  Right now, I'm at a point where if I die as a Rogue Agent, I lose 1-2 hours worth of progression, and that kind of sucks. It makes me avoid going Rogue for the most part rather than embracing that part of the game.

Agreed, if we go rogue we also never get to manhunt status because you're really just shooting yourself in the foot there haha got killed once on a manhunt and I've never seen so much xp and $$$ disappear
