Doubtful for what Ubisoft intended this area for, it seems that "ganksquads" are now running rampant and ruining any type of enjoyment that could have been found there.  Then again, maybe they just threw this in for the wannabe online gangsters to get their jollies.  After spending more time in there and seeing the results of time spent trying to get past 21 only to level down to nearly 19 because people thought it "fun" to flag one person they were running with in order to procure the gear I had spent time working for, I'm easily done with this area.  Either change the design altogether or fix the ability to exploit the present mechanics.  As it stands for me, this is the largest flaw in what I thought was a solid game.   Bear in mind this is my own viewpoint on things as they currently stand, being that I just don't have all day to sit home and play it's rather annoying to deal with factors like this when you want to experience and explore every facet of the game.

they are working on the problem, but dont expect a fix overnight http://www.gamespot.com/articles/the-division-dev-says-dark-zone-balancing-definite/1100-6435676/

Good to hear.  As long as they are aware of the issues and are looking into them, I can enhance my calm LOL.  Thx for the link!
i heard of the problems and stayed away from the DZ up till last night. me and one other person tried it last night and had a blast just fighting NPC's and hardly saw any other players in there. extracted a ton of stuff. but that might have been a rare occurrence

My friends and I have had a relatively enjoyable experience in the DZ so far. I think we've only ran into 1 group of players who were just intent on being rogues. But most of the other players we encounter, even if they accidently shoot at us...they just hold their hands up and we don't kill them. My only concern about that is, this could be exploited as well. Since you gain XP for beating out the timer, you could just do this over and over and run out the 6 seconds. I think the higher level you are, the more "responsible" the players are in that DZ. If you're already playing in the lvl 30 bracket, you're playing with people who grinded it out already who just want to get good gear and get out before the clowns reach level 30 and ruin it.

yeah the pvp is garbage in this game.  it encourages chicken (spit) behavior.

accidentally shooting someone shouldn't flag you.

the flag needs to last a lot longer.  and persist through death.

do you even get an award for beating out a 10 second  timer? thought it was for beating a 5 minuet timer. dont know, never been rogue

I had a blast in the dz last night.. scored a purple ACR and a purp heavy vest.

Went in solo and died about 6 times trying to extract. I thought for sure someone would come gank it while I was dead.

I dont see the issue. I see lots of people in the dz. I usually try to stick with them and help fight the rediculously smart ai crews.

The shit is hard when you go solo and try to extract. They always know where you are even when you hide and make ZERO contact with them. Thats the only thing I dont like so far.

Yeah we hardly saw anyone in there when we went, and only saw one rogue group and I go my first and only rogue kill which was nice. I imagine once we get to 30 it'll be much more difficult.

Yeah same here (new to forums btw :))

I play with a buddy and we go to DZ to get new and better gear (Lv 18) and we have had nothing but fun in the DZ, I mean its supposed to be PVP. Ganking sucks but it is expected. Usually there are plenty more non-hostiles and usually they don't gank you when extracting but if they do, we hunt them down until they leave the game :P

yeah, it was fun, i got my one and only rogue kill as well. eventually everyone will be level 30/50 and it will be a much harsher place i would imagine..so i guess me and you will have to hit the DZ again soon lol
