So I posted this on Reddit but I thought I would post this here in case any of you aren't on the Reddit sub.

In the most recent IGN First video where a developer walks us through the Lincoln Tunnel mission I noticed that the XP requirements for leveling are higher then they were in the beta. This likely means they were reduced in the beta due to the lack of missions. It also might mean that we will take longer to hit levels then it did in the beta which is great for those worried they would hit end game too soon. Proof in the screenshots below.

NEW LEVEL REQUIREMENT

I hope it takes a while to get to level cap for the casually hardcore among us. I know someone will be there within 12 or 16 hours of launch I would imagine, unless the XP needed to level grows exponentially as you go along. We'll see.

Keen observation. I'm of the opinion that it could've been lowered for the Beta, but I guess we'll do another comparison on the 18th

I also felt like it was really quick getting to level 8 in the beta, but then I heard that we were started out as a level 5 at the beginning of the beta. I didn't notice this cause I was so hyped to play. Then I realized the first enemies I faced were level 5 and that's why it was done on account of the mission start/progression for the beta.

I think we started at level 4 in the beta but there may be a starting area we don't get to see in the beta to protect the story line. I think.

Exactly, they did it as to not spoil the intro for the full game release. Oh, and it was level 4 that they started us out in the beta.

But we don't know what BUILD they are playing there either.  Maybe they made the LEVELING extremely HIGH as they ran and reran that mission to get us the best footage of the mission possible.

I hope the leveling feels good.  I know Borderlands made leveling feel awesome.  Destiny was OK but you never really got that thrilled that you LEVELED UP!  Since you had skill tree and weapons/armour that leveled up separate to your level.
