Why would someone play Darkzone Solo?

Have to agree with @freeege. What I did when I was solo in the dark zone was a lot of hit and runs. Use the chaos of other groups to get your shots in wherever you can. I also never called in my own extraction. If you are solo it is safer to show up to another players extraction after the helicopter has already arrived. By the time you get there those who were going to go rogue probably already have. I was fairly successful using these tactics but I did still get killed quite a bit.

Good tactics, always best to sneak around amid the chaos and choose your shots. Also waiting away from the EZ until the chopper gets there is the best way to solo extract in my opinion. Sitting at an EZ by yourself with a random squad of 4 will most often get you killed and jacked.

thats exactly what i did when i went solo in the DZ, set off the flair, left the immediate area and hid till the chopper came...it was the most successful tactic going solo

I thought I heard in the final build there are going to be more Extraction Points as well.  One guy I know would fire off his flare then run to a different extraction point as fast as he could.  The first flare would bring all the trolls to that Extaction point.  They camp waiting to snipe etc...  By the time he got to the 2nd point and fired his flare, he didn't really have a lot of people to deal with since they are back at the first point waiting for someone to roll.

Curiosity brought me into the dark zone solo. If I was just running around I was left alone. The moment I picked up loot from the few enemies that populated the dark zone I was put down. In the future I'll try to team up and hopefully have better luck.
