The lag on the Division servers today is just diabolical. In fact they are so bad I got disconnected 5 times within 5 minutes. It's a joke. Ubisoft has always is notoriously known for having rubbish servers. Going back to the days of Ghost Recon Future Solider. the servers were so bad I gave up on the game because I had the same problem. My connection was 47.6 mbps connected to the Division Servers. I have tested all my equipment. I have and it's only the division that has a problem all other games are fine.

I'd rather watch some TV than sit playing a game that has so much really bad lag. at times you know exactly when it is going to crash because the lag is so f****** bad. it never used to be this bad. so what has changed.

Not sure, but I was playing a couple nights ago and was having the same problem.  I wasn't streaming (which I usually am) and was the only one on the home network so I wasn't sure what the problem was.

I added some DNS Addresses and either there isn't many online at the moment. Or it has resolved the problem. no lag and no disconnections. :14_relaxed:

Not sure this is something I can do on console, if it is it's not something I'm familiar with doing.

I spoke too soon the lag is back but only when I run... Nooooooooooooooooo. :2_grimacing:
When I had the problem it started with running up the stairs into Lex on a farm run and continued on and off that night.  I was trying to activate the board for collecting HVT Intel at a safe house and in the time it took one of my friends to sign off one toon, load a second toon, join my group & fast travel to me, I was unable to go from the stash box to the board, my friend had to activate the board for us.

I am also on a console. By default when setting up your console it will automatically set the Primary DNS the same as your Default Gateway. (This is basically your cable modem/router or just Cable Modem connected to a secondary Router or switch) I will not go to much into that because it would probably fry your brain... Okay all you need yo do is follow my below instructions and you will be fine. Bearing in mind. you have to take into account Load Balance into account, thus would depend on how many devices are currently connected to the network. If you have everything connected to the internet in your home. You have to take this into account when calculating load balance. If your devices are turned off they will still be assigned an IP Address but they are not physically connected to the network.

PS4 Settings
1. Go to Settings and press (X)
2. Select Network and press (X)

How do you want to connect to the network
1. Select Set Up Internet Connection and press (X)
2. Select Use LAN Cable (Wi-Fi is the same process) and press (X)

How do you want to set up the internet connection
1. Select Custom and press (X)

IP Address Settings
1. Select Automatic and press (X)

DHCP Host Name (If you are on Cable leave this as default)
1. Select Do Not Specify and press (X)

DNS Settings
1. Select Manual (We will be using Google Server DNS Addresses)*
2. Select Primary DNS and then enter 8.8.8.8 and press (X) or (R2)
3. Select Secondary DNS and then enter 8.8.4.4 and press (X) or (R2)

When you have finished it will test the connection and give you a result.

To remove the DNS Primarary and Secondary Settings. Just go through the process again and then select Automatic and this will revert the DNS Address back to default which would be your Default Gateway Address for example, 192.168.10.1

Why address 8.x.x.x which shows owned by     Bolt Beranek and Newman Inc.

I am unsure what they do, but the first 63 class a addresses are assigned/owned - with the 10.x.x.x net being non-routable.

Just curious -

...gene
