OK Pun intended.

Now for me...  Here is what I like and don't like with about 40 hours play time, both solo and with group.

I hate that I had to kill Keener before being able to go back to DC.
But it was 4 hours with a group of 4. Still...

I hate that elite/names are still very spongy.
But - no 7734 I hate it (pager days).

I hate that there is no clear weak points for robots.
But they are there, you just need to figure them out.

I hate the sniper special is almost crap.  It should not take more than one head-shot for anything but a boss, named included.
but - there are alot more ammo drops.  So I get multiple shots.

I am mixed about the gear total revamp.  I am not sure it really fixed anything.
I am sure its more calculable.  That is, math can be more helpful.
I hope, as I figure it out, that gear is more combinable.
I wish it was simpler (but hey... this can be overcome).

I love WoNY, the strange familiarness, while being different.
I love that my agent has the potential to solo the TD2 world.

but now, I must achieve.

Thoughts?

I take my time & pace myself when playing any game or DLC addons like The Division 2 . I like to explore any new map being added to The Division 2 looking for parts for my gear & weapons, looking for hidden places & finding new stuff added, also new weapons & gear. A lot players like rush through the game and to do it in 10 or 15 hours or less rushing all around. Doing it that way takes all fun out of the game. Which I don't like doing. Exploring helps me find new named weapons, exotics, & gear which I can recalibrate into a better weapon or gear. So if you don't explore all new areas you won't be able to get enough parts to do any recalibration to your stuff. So I do take a little more time to finish any new DLC addon it doesn't make me a bad or terrible player. I'm just want to make sure I found what I been looking for. Plus like playing solo because I can't rely or trust  other teammate to follow your lead. I did this more than once & tried trust my teammates....but some like to grab all the good weapons & gear for themselves when I shoot & kill the enemies NPCs. So I decided not team up anymore & just play it solo. It may take a little longer to play. But at the end I get keep all I find.

I don't understand what you mean by this. Teammates cannot keep you from getting loot. Each player gets their own drops. If we are playing a mission together and kill an enemy who drops loot, we each get individual pickups. If you pick it up, it doesn't disappear for me.

The only exception to that is in the Dark Zone and that is only for loot taken directly from other agents, not NPC enemies.

I like the gear revamp and especially the recal library. That was an awesome idea that more games should adopt. I like how the UI now tells you what is a max roll for attributes.

I know others feel differently, but I also like that they took talents off all the armor except chest pieces and backpacks. It makes it easier to create builds. You are not endlessly chasing pieces with the right talents or rolls you want. I also like that it makes our choices harder. You can only pick two talents instead of six. Before you could pretty much pick all the good ones. Now you have to decide which ones you really want to have and you are likely going to have to sacrifice something.

I wish the WoNY campaign had been a little longer. For $30, I would have liked something that took longer than 4-6 hours to complete. They could have done something better with Keener too. All of his scheming basically just came down to re-infecting NYC? It's already a wasteland. What was the point?

A few more missions and/or side missions would have been nice. Maybe a little more buildup around the henchmen we were hunting down. It was just way too short.

I didn't really mind being locked down in NYC until the campaign was complete, especially since it was so short, but it was an odd design choice.

The first season has been interesting. It has given some good reason to keep playing and repeating activities. I think the rewards pacing is pretty good. It's a solid balance of being easy enough that even fairly casual players could hit level 100 by the end of the season, but not so slow that anyone will blow through to level 100 in a week. And honestly, even if some casual players don't hit level 100, I'm okay with that. It should be that way.

My only serious complaint really, and it sounds like it is being addressed in the patch tomorrow, is the bullet sponges, mostly on challenging with groups of 3-4. The scaling is just ridiculous. You are better off playing challenging missions solo or in a group of 2. The difficulty ramps up significantly when you add that 3rd person.

They didn't keep me from getting the loot. Some them got to the loot before I could get there.

And there would still be loot there for you. I still don't understand what you are saying. If they pick up loot, it doesn't remove it from your screen. Your drop is still there to pick up.

This was in The Division 1 where I teamed up with 3 other players in Dark Zone. Sometimes we are shooting at same 4 or 5 enemy NPCs  I  finished off one or two  of them. I notice there was loot there on the ground next to the dead NPC and one of the 3 teammates went up pick it up before I could get there. Plus I don't even play the Dark Zone in The Division 2. That's what I'm trying to say.

But the games have never worked that way though. Not in The Division 1 or The Division 2. Teammates cannot take your loot. Everyone has their own drops. They cannot see yours and you cannot see theirs.

I forgot to add to my review above that one thing I am not all that impressed with is the SHD system. I have played a lot of Diablo 3 and loved the paragon system. I was hoping it was going to be similar to that. It is similar, but the progression with it just seems SO slow. You get 0.2% boost at each level. You have to hit level 25 and commit all 20 of your SHD points (5 will go to the silly scavenge thing) just to gain 1% in each category.

If they want to keep it at 0.2%, they should increase the progression speed a little bit.

Also, they need to fix the UI. It takes too long to add one point and then move on to the next category. The weird pause after you confirm a selection needs to go away.

Well then I don't know what happen to it then. It just disappeared before I could pick it up and it look like the other teammate pick it up.There was a lot of glitches in The Division 1 & Dark Zone at the time. It happen again in The Division 2 with exotics this time. As seen here:

High end drops were disappearing in The Division 1 as seen here:

This is what I'm Talking about.

Yeah, that was a glitch from almost a year ago. It doesn't happen anymore.

I was looking through the SHD Tech system to see how far it levels up. It's level up to level 100 and stops there. Sometimes when you add the 1 point you get to improve your weapons, gear, health, armor,& perks it slow to show any changes in your stuff you upgrade. That's the only problem I'm having.

The season goes up to level 100.

The SHD system goes well beyond that. I think the cap is 850 right now. It's 50 points for each individual option (which ends up being a 10% bonus) and 200 points in each node.

It's going to take a good bit of time to get to 850. I won't hit it this season. That's for sure.

Well sorry about that talking about SHD level up part as seen here:

Yes. I know. That goes well above level 100. Look at the quadrant highlighted. It says "Offensive". Then each of the four categories inside there go up to 50. So it is 200 for each of those four quandrants.
Sorry for the confusion ......yeah that's part talking about level 100 cap & thanks for the information. I wasn't to sure how far the four quadrants would level up too.
