Dwarven Lord Under The Mountain
Well one VERY late night has passed and I managed to get most of my Task Force online & in TeamSpeak for virtually all of it.
Oh my gosh, did we cover some ground!! Some of the guys had been playing since 6am (nut jobs) so when I got online it was a matter of "oh! you need THIS weapon, you need THIS attachment...I'll show you where we'll go get it".
And so started 6+ hours of the best co-op fun gameplay I've had in a long time but also the worse time from a game progression standpoint. At the end of the evening I'd covered ground in four separate regions, still hadn't found that elusive x12 sniper scope or a 30 round magazine to fit my G36 but also found out that the SIG556 is perhaps THE MOST OP WEAPON for vehicle engagements.
Co-op is so much fun! We mixed up between going in loud (when the game clearly gives you few other options) and going in stealth (when we could at all).
There is no finer feeling of achievement than taking down a camp 100% stealthy. One mission REQUIRED us to do so basically "infiltrate base without detection, eliminate all occupants without detection". At this point there was just two of us but waiting and watching for 10mins to get patrol routes, walking the perimeters to check for entry points and syncronising with a fellow player....its just like old Ghost Recon!
Couple of issues: Game freezing when in land vehicles (my assumption is this is either my PC trying to catch up or synchronisation issues with Ubisoft servers when saving to the cloud) and one full game crash. In all, for a release day that's not too bad at all. Other than that, all went well and flawlessly and well done Ubisoft for dealing with release day well (from my point of view).
However, now, I HAVE to go back and complete some story missions!! I have about THREE story chains active now but am desperately short of resources to actually use my accumulated skill points I've gathered (I have 24 now I can't spend!). Such is the downside of running with a group.
