Weapon wear

I just started using a sidearm I like, but it looks brand new (as i should out of the box).

My question is: How do I get it looking worn, like some other weapons I have in my inventory? do I wear it for a cetain period, do I shoot it an "x" amount of times?

And do "boss" weapons also wear? I also like the M9 El general, but this also looks too sharp atm. would like it to look more worn out.

Thanks in advance for your replies!

I'm not sure if there's a known set amount of time before you start seeing wear on your gear.  I would just suggest keeping it equipped and it should start to wear.  Otherwise you could unholster it and start jumping off low cliffs and such to rough it up and see if that speeds things up.

As for boss weapons, I don't think they age, but I haven't seen anything to confirm or refute this. You can't equip weapon camos and that's what ages and wears.  Because you can't do that (or reapply/change to make the weapon look "new" again), I'd think that they wouldn't age or at the very least would have a worn or aged look from the get go that doesn't change.

I'm someone who constantly change weapon and its skin. I see mine getting worn out quite frequent. But I don't know how many hours of play time to reach so. lol
