but no mini-missions like we've had, no random events like they put in The Division. A bit disappointing but seems they absolutely don't want to support the game past the first year...especially disappointing considering all the work they did to get the game actually made! If I was one of those guys who put my heart and soul into building such a wonderful and detailed environment, I'd be gutted!
Please remind me. How was the event in division like? Wasn't it basically like what we have now in weekly challenge? I remember the reward of completing everything was a ducking reskinned beany. Lmao

For me, in The Division, it wasn't so much the rewards it was that they put in the (sort of) randomly generated HVT's and the like...that always kept each play through slightly different, then there were roaming bosses that respawned...not to mention Underground which randomly generates a new mission each time.

All that keeps interest. It just seems Ubisoft have decided all that was too much hassle this time.

I honestly wouldn't mind a random mission generator like that.

But I'm afraid it will generate shit like "run over 500 Unidad".

Still, I hope it's coming soon. But they need to get it straight first on what type of mission can be generated.

Marco Road, right? It's gotta be Narco Road.
What ... isn't that Marco *polo* road?

So, Farcry 5 everyone? (thinking I might just buy that game regardless, never play it because apparently its "controversal" to hold a mirror up to the soul of modern rural America)

That was painful to read. I'm still hyped about the game and I still enjoy it, I still like some of the newer things to come (although very little by the looks). I did have other things in mind that I hoped they'd of added, such as removing the level cap, which doesn't look like it'll be happening in the base game, which sucks for people who enjoy leveling up to as high as they can for milestone enjoyment. Which isn't every gamer, but there is a lot out there who do enjoy that.

Oh well.

My question would be

How long are they gonna support the Seasonal Challenge?

Seasonal Challenge means regular game updates. Why regular game updates? Because they need to patch the rewards in, for like, say, 2 Seasons.

Very good point there.  I like this game and was really happy with vanilla, however, it just didn't hook me in like GR:FS did.  Don't get me wrong, I'll keep playing the game, I just won't crank out the hours into I like past iterations.

Don't they have impromptu plans for Weekly Challenges?
Where did you hear this?

Also btw if you know The Crew, that game was considered f-ed up at first. Ubi then did a huge visual and audio update. It was still heavily bashed, being called the game is dead, but you know probably it's just that standard forum no-lifers on the roll.

Now it has 2 big DLC that wasn't a part of Season Pass. The current state of the game: it has a jerk-able open world for people to disturb you except it isn't that lethal like DZ and very easy to be dismissed, PvP arena revolving around performance competition, leaderboard, seasonal challenges that gives you worthy prize like a car (not sure existing or completely new), PvP game mode which turns you into a police and catch 'street racer' player or NPC. I don't know how annoying the newest mode can be when you're playing as 'street racer'. Outside of that, The Crew is still very grindy in both obtaining car parts and gaining money. Ubisoft also sell in-game credits (that's why it's grindy as hell).

The point is that The Crew grew far beyond of its plan. The Crew wasn't made as a PvP game. But it had an always-online open-world system which guarantees for other people to annoy you during off-mission. As far as I can remember, the base game also had PvP trial modes alongside the PvE ones that test your driving skill and car performance. One year later, The Wild Run DLC was added and brought new theme and new vehicle types such as motorbike and monster truck. Followed by Calling All Units DLC which brought basically a new storyline and modes in the following year. Both was offered outside what the Season Pass was actually offered.

Not that I'm looking forward to see GRW to turn into an always-online open-world for our beloved elite Ghosts to killing each other. But enough support from players will definitely extend the support for this game.

The way they spoke, it sounds like there is flexibility in how seasonal challenges shall be put together. There was a suggestion of player input or suggestions. Outside of seasonal challenges they had nothing to spruik, which as @quinch1199 read, meant there was going to be nada (since Q&A is the best time to spruik or at least drop hints of future features), or at least until the next release /season pass dlcs.
