Types of weapons in the game?

Total noob question here- what are the known TYPES of weapons in the games, and play styles that complement them?

I saw Assault Rifles, Marksman Rifles, Shotguns, SMGs, side arms.

There are also LMG's in the game but I think that covers it really. I just hope there are many variations of each gun and some unique named ones as well.

Yes what ^^^ said... If you search online you can get confirmed weapons that were in the Beta. Other than that we do not know other weapons included.. They have been tight lipped about this.

As far as the playstyles go I don't think you are really limited other than needing to use a sidearm if you want to use the ballistic shield.  Personally I am leaning towards sniping as a primary with an SMG backup for when those baseball bat wielding rioters get too close.
