Pre-WT5 Build Type Survey

Oh. daesu

Might be good to see whether those of you at EG have a build preference/opinions, before Tidal Basin drops.

Some of you have been talking about mask and blueprints. Kind of figured you'd be in a position to also focus on your Armour/Health, Skill Power and DPS.

So,

1) What are you focusing on in your builds between Amour/Health, Skill Power and DPS?

2) What weapon combo are you finding works for you?

3) Do you have particular talents you are relying on?

4) Do you think there is a meta atm? And, if so, what is it?

Build types,

Most damage without running out of ammo.  I tend to prefer burst damage so high rate of fire but ammo is much more of an issue on Challenging level.  SMG / AR seems to be popular at the moment and I was running SMG / Rifle for the lower difficulties but just cannot get the damage high enough quickly enough on target to burn down the more aggressive bed guys.

The F2000, C-TAR21 I have found are pretty much interchangeable.  The FAMAS has a lot less stability but I got an ACR drop and have been running with that.  Slower fire rate but hits harder (14k for the one I have).  Team that with the Chatterbox Exotic and reloading after a kill ups it RoF nicely.  The  Chatterbox can burn down most standard golds to near dead with one mag at close(ish) range without spec'ing in to SMG damage, or crit although I do have multiple Weapon Damage attributes on gear items.  It is also fast to reload.  Oh but I am running Demo specialisation and that has a SMG damage boost.

Gear wise, I always spec for Armour where possible as health on Challenging just melts away so fast, an extra 2k really has no significant advantage.  % armour boost is better than a fixed number.  I usually spec for weapon damage if possible as it applies across all weapons, I have some AR damage, % total armour and a few other random attributes.  I do have some nice 'perks' on my pieces (some recalibrated on) and I will post those later when home.

TBH the thing that lets me hit fairly hard and go through challenging missions easier with randoms is the Chatterbox.  Jefferson last battle I still go down with the rush of the bad guys but the rest of it, unless fairly unlucky (grenade, rusher and sniper at the same time like last night) I tend not to.

Ok, here are the talents etc.  First image is the gear / weapons.  Match the symbols with the other shots to see what is on which piece of gear.
